Popped in to visit a friend, Reception area and restaurant looked nice. My friend was going for breakfast, I decided to join him, The cost was expensive at £13.95 but I guess this is a standard fee for a Novotel. Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed. the staff were friendly but the quality was not as i would've expected for the price, all in all a little disappointing. not worth the price.
I attended an away day that my company had organised . The hotel public areas seemed pleasant and the room we were in was clean and pleasant enough. However the food that was provided was of the poorest standard I have ever had . Cheap and nasty spring to mind although I’m sure the price charged was not small! We were allowed I/2 a muffin each with bacon or sausage ( cheap and nasty both muffin , which was hard and the meat products which were tasteless ) The sandwiches at lunchtime were also not pleasant .
I stay away a lot for work so it’s really nice when staff spare the time to chat a little even when they are clearly busy - Joanne was particularly helpful in the restaurant and brightened my evening also Fernando. Food was lovely and I would recommend this hotel highly .
My son and I were attending a football match at Old Trafford and got a great 1 night stopover deal, just £60 for a non-refundable twin room with Expedia, booked some months ahead of our stay. The Hotel is situated just off the motorway in the picturesque village of Worsley (think of rural Cheshire, black & white gabled pubs, a church with a steeple, large homes and a golf club). On approach from a roundabout next to the church, the Novotel is set behind a traditional (and unrelated) village pub. Externally a 2 storey modern building, with wings extending from a central airy foyer. There is ample car parking to the front of the property. On entering the automatic doors, you find yourself in the foyer, with reception desk to the left, open-plan restaurant and bar to the right. On the evening we stayed there were several events taking place in the function rooms, but they were catered-for in such a manner that they had no impact (in terms of noise, service standards etc) to residents. Check in was efficient and we were allocated a twin room (333) on the third floor. This seemed rather puzzling as the property is ostensibly a two-storey building. The answer lay on our walk past a nicely equipped small gym, to the lifts, as the lobby, bar and restaurant is actually on the 2nd floor - with a lower 1st floor towards the rear of the property, which is built on a tapered slope. Our room had all the usual Novotel touches. On entering, you are in a dressing area, with ample hanging space to the right. To the left there is a separate WC. Going through a door from the dressing area brought us to the bedroom, with bathroom off to the left. The bedroom had two comfortable single beds (each with 1 regular pillow and 1 unusual 'half-folded' pillow, which could be arranged in such a way - forming an inverted V - to be either a neck-support to watch TV, or laid flat to be a pillow). There was a drawer and cupboard unit with chair, hairdryer and mirror, together with customary tea and coffee making facilities. The room had a huge flat screen TV with the regular selection of free-view channels, USB port as well as YouTube access and an ability to screen-cast from your device onto the TV. Wifi is free and fast. There was a comfortable sofa bed, double-glazed windows, highly effective aircon / heating system and iron / ironing board. The bathroom had an over-bath shower with both rainfall and traditional shower-heads, ample towels and several large pump-action dispensers for handwash, shampoo and conditioner. The only 'missing' item of what is nowadays a basic room convenience, was a digital safe. We had drinks in the pleasant bar and very reasonably priced room service for dinner. A pleasant stay at a modern chain hotel, just 20 minutes drive from central Manchester.…
Lovely hotel, I stayed her for 1 night for work and the room was immaculately clean and with plenty of space including a sofa. The bed was really comfy and had a great night's sleep. I didn't stay for breakfast but have no doubt it would have been amazing give everything else. I will definitely be back next time I'm working in Manchester
I found this to be an excellent hotel to stay at i only had a one night stay but the whole place was very clean and tidy the room i had was also very clean and nice and warm. The staff were very helpful also and if i was ever in the Manchester area again I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this lovely hotel.
Stayed for two nights. The hotel has been revamped and is beautiful with all new carpets, bathroom and air conditioning. So comfortable, staff very friendly and polite, Vas, Katie and Ria on reception and bar were so helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you xx
This was our first visit here since the hotel refurbishments, which are almost complete. There was a clear notice up explaining the work and apologising for any inconvenience. We did not see, or hear any work being carried out while we were there. Our spacious, well appointed, room had been refurbished with a mixture of new features, such as beds, carpets and dual shower heads along with properly renovated features, such as wall coverings. All areas of the hotel were very clean. The staff we encountered were all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Buffet breakfast was plentiful, with variety and good value. We enjoyed our stay here and felt rested and relaxed when we checked out. We will stay again when next in the area.
A really pleasant surprise. The hotel has been refurbished and my room smelt of new carpets. The room was spacious and it was nice to have a sofa to watch TV. Despite being situated just off a motorway, the room was extremely quiet. Lots of facilities including a refurbished gym, bar and restaurant. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to help. Parking was a little limited but at least it was close to the reception. Would definitely recommend and was good value for money.
Hotel was situated in a nice area off the main road and the grounds were pleasantly surprising. We stayed here via sportsbreak.com but would happily come back on our own accord. Only a 10/15 min drive from Old Trafford football ground so ideal for an overnight after a match, and same travel time to the Trafford Centre for a days shopping. Staff were all warm and welcoming and easy to approach and chat with. Room was standard, but nice and comfy. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, good quality and catered to all tastes. There’s a pub not 30 seconds walk away at the entrance to the hotel. Hotel bar closes around midnight. All in all, we are actually looking at staying again soon we were that happy with the stay. Well done Novotel Manchester West!
