As the Brasilito beach scene is a favorite place to view both ocean and people, I considered a week stay at this combination motel and hotel. This was my third visit to find out if I might have a single room for one week. I had met the new owner before; this was the manager who -- when I asked...

Thank you for your review. We are trying to get the old signs down. Their legs are in large blocks of concrete. We want to paint over the old price but there have been so many demands on us for all of the improvements that we have done that this gets overlooked each day. Tomorrow we will paint over the...

If you are on a budget and traveling in high season, Diversion Tropical could provide the basics in an otherwise pricey location. We stayed here for 5 days as the last leg of our multi-week Costa Rican trip (read: last stretch of our budget!). A few key points to consider: - Location: 5-10 min to Brasilito, 20 min walk to...

Hotel Cabinas Diversión Tropical in Playa Brasilito is a very pleasant place to stay. Parking is easy and the rooms are quite comfortable. It's an easy walk into town for meals, although the Hotel Conchal next door has a restaurant as well. The room was perfectly fine--clean and comfortable. The WiFi is too weak for use in the room and...

We lucked across this motel / hostel (it's a bit of both) when we changed our plans last minute. Owner was terrific and staff super nice. Very reasonable and great place if you are traveling with kids on a budget. For us it was a perfect ending to our vacation.

I stayed at Cabinaa Diversion Tropical for 5 nights... 27 to 31 Jan.2015. Rick the owner was very helpful and so was his manager Maynor. I, not being able to converse in Spanish sought out their help quite a few times in making arrangements for my travels. My room was very clean. The maid came everyday to clean and changed...

I canceled to stay at this place couple days before staying and they still charged for one night. Shame for an american guy that is suppose to do clean business or hotel is not doing any good that steals money from people. Watch out travelers.

I'm sorry but you are not telling the full story. You had a reservation for Saturday night Aug 23. 1 night. You did not cancel your reservation and did not show up. I was completely full that night, so your no show would have cost me $50. I called you that day and left a message for you to call...

My wife and I stayed here as we wanted to be close to Playa Conchal. We had heard Playa Flamingo was overrun with tourism so this was a better choice for us. Stayed for a night in May 2013 with my father and had a great experience. The owner is from Wyoming and very helpful. Clean, basic room, with a nice pool. Great base to visit the surrounding area. Rick was always helpful with maps and suggestions on what to see in the local area. He also rents bikes, kayaks, and snorkel gear.
