Excellent Agriturisimo near the Mediterranean Sea. We walked along a nearby beach before sunset which can view from the rooftop.. Dinner was excellent on patio by citrus grove. Rooms were large with modern baths. Loved the view from second story rooms. Very pleasant, relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I (29/31) stayed here for 4 nights in late September and loved Baglio Spano. The building itself is a beautiful old farmhouse/winery based round a courtyard with a small orchard on the other side around the pool. The whole place had a lovely rustic feel whilst having everything you need. We ate here on our first night...

One of the best Agritourismo we have been. If you follow Federico Montalto's advise it’s easy to find. Federico offers a fine and gentle service with a sensitive feeling for furniture, room, style, and atmosphere. Good breakfast and diner, and if you like you can enjoy it under the citrus trees. There is a wonderful pool, which is clean, not...

Without a reservation we arrived late afternoon on the 6th of may. We got two rooms for a very reasonable (preseason) price (€50 each) and took the option for diner (€25,-). This historical set up is run very professionaly, the 2 connected rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. The host gave us a choice for diner: tuna or swordfish....

After getting majorly lost even with our gps we finally made it to this great b&b in Sicily near Petrosino. This place had a lot of charm, great space and wonderful food. We really loved our experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for someplace off the beaten track, super reasonable, amazing homemade marmalade and very charming.

My husband, our grown daughter, and I stayed here for 5 nights during the last week of March. This is a lovely place to stay. Our rooms were very well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and large. The beds were very comfortable and the duvets were perfect for cold evenings. The water took awhile to arrive to the second floor, but when it...

This was our second stay in Baglio Spano, after our first trip last September. We loved our time there, just as we did last year, and this was in spite of Alitalia losing our luggage for four out of seven nights of our stay, followed by our son suffering a bad 'flu bug: the fact that we still had such...

Beautiful place with all its antiques. A little bit off the beaten path with not enough signage. Our host was very pleasant but was not willing to go out of his way. He suggested some places to go but didn't give us any info on it and just walked away. The property was lovely and well taken care of

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family with a three year old and I cannot praise the place enough. Firstly, this is NOT a place for those selling hustle and bustle of the town. It's set in middle of grape field, away from everyone (and everything) else. You'll be staying in 150 years old baglio (think old more...

We stayed at Baglio Spano in the first week of May. This was our first trip to Sicily and our host Federico was superb. The property was set in a beautiful, peaceful setting and each day we ventured out to visit the surrounding countryside. A picturesque part of Sicily, far from the chaos, hustle and bustle of Palermo. You could...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sicily aristocratic farm: the ancient and unchanged beauty of Sicily is reflected in the architecture of Baglio Spano'. Dating back to XVIII century, it was used as a summer residence by the noble family Montalto-Spano'. It is situated amidst 300.000 square meters of wine yards only 2 km from the seaside. A courtyard separates the farmhouse with its guest rooms from the warehouses which were once used to store the grapes and produce wine. Here you will taste and enjoy typical Sicilian dishes prepared by our cook. The building is entirely surrounded by citrus trees which release their delicate perfumes in the peaceful spring evenings. ... more   less
