We arrived fairly late but we were greeted by a friendly hotel clerk. Parking is a bit precarious and limited so we ended up parking on the river side of the hotel on the side of the driveway. This made for an adventurous trip pulling our luggage to the hotel entrance. The hotel management allowed us to order dinner at...

The main problem was the location of the hotel - the website photos and other reviews hide the fact that this is on the edge of a town looking out over a rather busy and loud A road. Not highland peace and quiet in rural beauty, quite far from it. The interiors of the hotel have been re-done to a...

Meal today - Excellent food and courteous service but oh dear the portions! I know the nations allegedly in the grip of a obesity epidemic but considering the food is supposed to be the cheapest element in overall catering industry costs, you wouldn't know it here. Rack of lamb : 4 med chops. Desert: looked like a free taster -...

This hotel is truly wonderful, it's right in the centre, wonderful warm welcome, really friendly staff. Rooms were super comfortable and we got a wee upgrade which was nice. We ate in the Copper Dog downstairs a really lovely cosy trendy pub with amazing food and great friendly chatty staff. The Quaich Bar is something else if you love whiskey....

A wonderful hotel which lived up to all expectations. It has an outstanding mix of comfort and elegance, with a level of service which is extremely rare. From the moment we checked in the there was a warm and welcoming ambience, with a pleasing scent of wood on the air from the open fires which decorated and warmed the bar,...

What a great hotel, in a beautiful setting. Decoration, atmosphere and service are excellent. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff make it easy to have your dog with you pretty much everywhere. This hotel represents a wonderful example of Scottish hospitality, food and whiskey. Well worth a visit, I will certainly be back.

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights on our honeymoon. We should have heeded the three star rating and ignored the flashy website. Upon arrival, we were quickly checked in and told our room was upstairs. Seeing as it was our honeymoon, we booked the "comfy luxe" room. There was nothing luxe about this room, and the bathroom...
