Visited for an afternoon tea here with my good lady. The champagne was an added enticement. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to the library to wait a few minutes before being taken to our table which we had pre booked We were asked if we wanted our champagne first and we said yes. This was followed by...

We had lunch in the Copper Dog, and a malt whisky and game of chess in the Quaich. Lunch was very good. My daughter had a burger, and I had cauliflower risotto. We each had a local beer, from a pretty large selection. No complaints at all, and a fair price for what is an upmarket hotel. Malt whisky and...

We had the most wonderful afternoon tea with champagne on an itison voucher. It was by far the best afternoon tea we have ever had, the sandwiches and choice of cakes was fantastic. Our names on the personal menu and the bottle of champagne being opened and presented to us at the table was a really nice touch. The experience was...

Hotel was fine, had all that was needed in the rooms. A 1 night stay. Disappointed to find on arrival we could not get seats in the famous whisky bar. Only time dinner was available was 9pm unfortunately way too late. However there was a nice bar over the road that could accommodate us The Highlander which was a friendly...

Enjoyed afternoon tea for four in the library, personalised named printed menu's are a nice added touch. We enjoyed the library to ourselves with the sun streaming in through the windows. Cold smoked salmon on nori bread, egg mayonnaise on curried bread, honey roast ham and celeriac remoulded on sun dried tomatoe bread. Warm fruit and plain scones with clotted...

This is a beautiful hotel that has been well cared for and sensitively renovated. Our room, on the second floor, was recently refurbished, spotlessly clean, and the furnishings and fittings were beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom provisions were lovely. We had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. The dining room is an elegant space! The...

The staff were altogether very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor. So we didn't benefit from the great view. I'd ask for a room in one of the upper floors next time. Room was big enough and in good conditions. I liked the big bathroom with shower and bathtub. The food was great throughout. Good breakfast,...

I wasn't sure of hotel this would be and pulling up to it it seemed like a small sleepy village hotel. But this place was amazing in every way. It has been renovated recently so is very nice, but has maintained its old charm. It also boasts one of the largest whiskey bar in Scotland, so that was a huge...

I have been staying at the Craigellachie on and off for many years. Over that period, the staff may change but the high standards of cleanliness and style have stayed high. The "new bar" is lovely and a pleasant place to have a "dram" (large range of whisky labels to choose from) or have the tiple of your choice. The...
