Las Hamacas is a real bargain. A room with kitchenette and 2 double beds was $200 (pesos ) a night for a single and $250 for two. It is older and needs a bit of work. The beds were very comfortable. The managers are super nice. It's on the beach and joins Garcia's bar- restaurant which is very central. The...

For my third winter stay at Las Hamacas, Lorenzo and Margarita treated me as one of the family, as always. For the budget-minded, this is a great place - a bit dated, but clean and friendly. Spanish speaking with a mainly Mexican tourist cliental, there's no better place to immerse yourself in real Mexico. On the beach, lots varied eateries...

This property is Beachfront and the unit I stayed in for 1 week was a large 1 bedroom with kitchen, bathroom, tv, ceiling fan and stand up fan. Not in great shape but in a good location in downtown Melaque West. I believe I paid around $140. for the week. The small pool in the courtyard is very cold and...
