Jean-Francois and Lucie were great hosts with many helpful hints for watching whales and restaurants. The homemade breakfast (choice of waffles or English breakfast) was absolutely amazing! Thanks for everything!

The most charming and friendly hotel I have ever been in my life. The hosts overflow with kindness, unique rooms and a breakfast with the same charm as if your mother did. Perfect, without more. It's wonderful.

We stayed overnight before a whale watching excursion. Our room was clean and well presented, comfy beds and every provision made to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Jean-Francois was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was superb. This is a great little place to stay and I would highly recommend it. We were far more comfortable here than in some of the more expensive hotels and motels we used during our trip.

We stayed with Jean François and Lucie for three Nights recently and enjoyed our stay there very much. Our room was clean and cosy. Despite not having air conditioning and the house being on the main road, we slept like logs and were only woken by the fabulous smells of Lucie's spectacular breakfasts she cooked freshly every morning. I particularly loved her waffles with strawberry sorbet and fresh berries and fruit salad. Divine! There was also a breakfast buffet with different types of bread, cheese, ham, jams and honey and yogurt. And plenty of freshly made coffee and orange juice. Every morning we found two fresh bottles of water outside our room. Jean François was very helpful with finding our way around the area and telling us where the best restaurants in Tadoussac were. He pointed out beautiful spots from where we could watch the Beluga Whales and booked a boat trip on the Saguenay Fjord for us. He can also help guests with bookings for the Whale Watching Boat trips. The B&B is not far from the Tadoussac ferry (it is located on the main road just outside Baie Sainte Catherine). You will need a car though. There is ample parking behind the house. A beautiful spot in a beautiful area. …

New owners, just took over in 2016. They were very friendly and willing to help with all activities and recommendations in the area, including tips and so on. You can book whale watching directly from them as well. There was an unexpected issue and they were very professional and fair letting us leave one day early.

It turned to be even better than I expected. Very friendly and helpful hosts give you a very warm welcome. rooms are cozy and clean. We liked the style used to decorate the rooms. 5 min drive from the dock where AML starts cruises. But what impressed us most of all is the breakfast. It is home-made and simply fantastic. Great choice, healthy food, hot and cold, as well as drinks. Loved it!

I stayed at this B & B on May 22nd for one night along with my wife. We traveled from Ottawa and really enjoyed the excellent hospitality of Jean-Francois and his wife. They were great and tried to accommodate all of our requests. I highly recommend this place. It was very clean and the break fast was excellent !! Look forward to visit this B&B again :) Thank you Jean-Francois !

The room & bathroom was very nice, very clean. We experienced an outstanding service and the breakfast was simply wonderful. The house is close to the ferry port which is excellent for day trips, the restaurants are very close and serve great food.

Positive points: good price/quality rate, the room (n°4) is simple but comfortable and clean, hosts are very sympathetic and easy going, solid organic homemade breakfast. Negative points: boring to cross the river between Baie Ste Catherine and Tadoussac (ferry freely available every 20min and every 1 hour during the night, but off the schedule). The route takes about 12min. Bathroom so modest and small not so much comfortable. Finally, the hosts gave us bad directions about restaurants timetable for the evening, so we couldn't have diner.

Response from cdd18, Propriétaire at Au gite de la chute

En début et fin de saison nous vérifions constamment les ouvertures des restaurants de Baie Sainte-Catherine. Par contre il se peut que les exploitants changent d'idée sur les heures d'ouverture-fermeture selon l'achalandage sans nous aviser. Diane
