Just wow! From the cuisine to the rooms, to the personal service provided, this is by far the best hotel we stayed at during our South East Asia trip. This is the perfect location to use as a base to discover Southern Laos. Bravo!

Best Hotel in South Laos. The rooms are amazing, the staff cannot be compared to anywhere else we stayed, and don't even get us started on the food. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you all! We will be back!

I had a phenomenal stay at what is surely one of the best hotels I've yet stayed at in rural southeast Asia. The property is on a quiet street directly across from the Mekong River and its colonial design with open air restaurant and frangipani trees conjures up images of bygone times. The rooms are beautiful, perfectly designed with extreme attention to detail, and the service also matches. You can expect to be treated as a true guest here by the GM, who will indulge your every need. The hotel restaurant is also exceptional, serving both Laos and western food including wood fired pizzas and incredibly Laotian style BBQ (try the pork and duck). They plan to install a pool soon, and they currently do offer riverside dining. There is a fully equipped bar that is constantly being

We did have a great time at Residence Bassac during Pi Mai. The hotel was so beautiful with a nice garden around. Services were just wonderful. We felt like we were cared for every single things. The restautant inside the hotel is another plus with good menu of foods. A real hidden gem away from business! Thank you, Ronald and the team, for making us a memorable stay!

The quality of Résidence Bassac is outstanding and unique in the region, and it is perfectly located in the charming town of Champassak. The Soum Noum restaurant and the Mékong Sala offer a unique choice of Mediterranean plates and refined Lao food, with homemade fresh products and some original flavors, especially for the desserts. The restaurant also offers a large choice of beverages including high range alcoholic beverages, cocktails and wines. All the rooms have been recently restored by a French architect with stye and particular attention to detail. The rooms are furnished with design and quality furnitures, are absolutely calm, clean and private. The quality of the service is excellent, with fresh fruits and beverages served in the rooms, essential oils diffusor

Residence Bassac is a great hotel AND restaurant. For having spent several days and visited all places around, this is the best hotel here. Perfectly located in the center, rooms are large, modern but locally designed with refined details. You find all the confort of a 5 stars hotel (I went on holidays but usually my job is to visit a lot of them). Service is perfect, mini bar refilled (complimentary), trashes emptied, bed prepared at night... And food at the restaurant is excellent. Breakfast, lunch and dinners présent a large choice of Lao and international cooking. You will just be wanting to stay as long as to taste everything!

Residence Bassac is a lovely, renovated colonial home with charm and class. The decorations are traditional, yet modern. We had a lovely dinner one evening and our only disappointment was that we weren't staying here for the evening. We had a pizza which was delicious , followed by cheesecake for dessert...yummy.

We returned to Champasak to stay here for 4 nights . The manager Ronald is efficient and helpful . The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant has a good selection of Lao and Western food, all delicious. Try the gazpacho on a hot day ! Watching moonrise over the Mekong here a special treat .

There are very few upper grade hotels in Champasak and Residence Bassac is probably the best one, using the French colonial architecture with stylish minimalist deco in the rooms. Restaurant in lobby building is enjoyable thanks to food quality, the deco and the view on the main street. Breakfast atmosphere in the early time of sunrise is a must !

We stayed at Residence Bassac (aka known as La Perle du Sud) for 3 nights in one of their garden rooms. Very attractive, spotlessly clean, great food. The staff - especially Jin, were helpful and extremely efficient. A swimming pool is planned for some time in the future which will make it perfect. Highly recommended.
