I got a single room with a really nice and wide bed for 10 dolars. Since I arrived there I had good feelings. Robin, the man who rules the guest house is a really nice talker and he knew about everything. Then I took a...More
I arrived in Kalaw at 4 in the morning. Tired from the overnight bus from Hsipaw, I and three other travelers were on the lookout for lodging in Kalaw that would be enough to last until our trek - which we planned to do the...More
We had a kind of mixed feeling about this accomodation. The guy from the guest house named Robin (who is an excellent guide btw) was waiting for the night buses to offer accomodation. We were offered a small room "free of charge" to sleep overnight....More

Lovely owner was very accommodating.
Organised good value tours from Kalaw to Inle Lake.
Rooms were lovely (although bathrooms were basic). Lovely veranda with great views.
Owner cooked an amazing pancake breakfast, perfect for pre-trek.

hello, I did the 3 days trekking from Kalaw to Inle lake. it's possible to do it in 2 days if you want, however they will take you by car up to a certain point and walk the rest of it. I met a girl that walked to whole distance in 2 days but it's very hard, due to the hot weather and I guess you will have to pay probably a bit more.

Hello! We did the trek in mid-October and had no rain at all. Some spots were muddy but very manageable. I am not sure how much the transportation would be, but by bus it should be around 2000-3000 if I compare to what we paid to go from Inle to Heho. There is an entrance fee at the Lake of 12,500 kyats per person, and most agencies do not include this in their rates. The trek was pleasant, we had very good food and a good guide. Have fun!
