We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay with Lorraine and Gino in their wonderful 400 year old cottage. in Weston which is a lovely village of old houses (mostly.) They were great hosts who paid attention to every detail. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfortable with a well fitted out bathroom even though it was narrow with...

We spent two days with Lorraine and Gino, there home is beautifull,it seems a shame to call it a bed and breakfast because it is so much more, they were very friendly and could not have made us more welcome,if you need to stay anywhere in this area just make your way to there door.

I needed somewhere to stay for one night after a home emergency. Tried the local Premier Inn but as they were full they recommended Windmill Cottage Guest House. What a wonderful find! A lovely 16th century cottage with all mod cons and very comfortable. Lorraine and Gino were very helpful and welcoming hosts, even inviting me to join them for...

Spent two days here with my son. I absolutely loved it. Nothing was too much trouble for Lorraine and Gino. The room was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. Car parking on site too which is always a bonus. There were unique finishing touches, that I loved, the chocolates on the bed, the little biscuits, real milk in the...

I was met with a warm welcome and also a complementary small bottle of rose wine! Very comfortable room with a good sized TV and also tea-making facilities. Breakfast was wonderful with high quality food and coffee. I highly recommend this establishment which was ideally placed next to Hawkestone Park golf centre.

A last minute decision to visit Hawkstone Park for the British MotoX resulted in a lucky find of Windmill Cottage and the last room they had available. It's very conveniently located for Hawkstone, maintained to a very high standard and our hosts were very genial. Our room was equipped to a high standard with thoughtful extras such as a shoe-shining...

Lorraine and Gino are so friendly and welcoming and their guest house is beautiful, comfortable and homely. Breakfast was delicious and truly set us up for the day. Location is very close to Wem and Hawstone Park is well worth a visit. Shall definitely be calling Windmill Cottage again when we are next in the area.

“There are two beautiful parkland golf courses with a club house, a hotel bar and restaurant a couple of hundred yards away where you can get an evening meal ranging from bar snacks to a full three course dinner. Not Haute Cuisine but fine unless you would prefer to drive to nearby Shrewsbury of Wem.”
