As described in other reviews, the wooden bath houses and outdoor area are wonderful. What really makes the place exceptional though is this combined with the very friendly staff (they speak a little bit of English) and the owner, Izumi Imai. We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed our time. Especially the bathing facilities are superb. There are both indoor and outdoor hot pools. The indoor bath is spacious and features a wooden hall.
