the hotel is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ski in and out doesnt get any better. Service is outstanding, food is marvelous. cant fault anything. Public and private bath comes with volcanic mineral water. Had a really good and pleasant stay here Will come back.

I loved my stay here and will definitely try and make my way back! Stayed 3 nights and was impressed by the refurbished 5 star level of rooms. The hotel has some history and has retained a sense of that in its wooden floors and small lift in the reception area but all its facilities have been upgraded without compromising...

This was recommended to me as the only ski in - ski out place in myoko with a bit of luxury. I believe that is right. There are other hotels at the very bottom of the mountain near the resort center which is several steps across the street so that may be an option for saving some money. First I...

I honestly can't believe this is not ranked as the top hotel in the Myoko region. I believe it is. I stayed at the new wing with super modern and cozy rooms (been here a few times, all around late Feb/early Mar, in 2009/2010/2011), and the built in private onsen on the balcony is just stunning -- perfect to sooth...

The good points: 1.Fantastic view from my room. 2.Good food (but very pricey). 3.Great Onsen, well maintained and impeccably clean. Fantastic views too. Areas for improvement: 1.Few of the key staff that should speak reasonable English (front desk), actually do. Tough, therefore,to make simple arrangements in a straight forward way. 2.The gym is very small and lacks the basic facilities...

Nothing particularly wrong with this ski-out, ski-in hotel, but overall felt like you we're in a time machine and visiting a "luxury" hotel in Japan 20 years ago, but being asked to pay prices where you should expect real luxury and service. This is a shame given it's location. Food was good, but needs more flexibility and informal dining choices....

It's taken me nearly 2 years to write this as I've only just joined TA but I thought it was worthy of a review. We had the most memorable and beautiful experience at this hotel. We went there to ski in January 2010 and booked it via the internet. Communication was a bit difficult as they don't seem to confirm...

We came from Hong Kong to spend the Chinese New Year week skiing and are having an awesome time. The staff have been terrific and the onsen is outstanding with very modern facilities and a great view over the pistes. The food has been excellent. Snow conditions have been outstanding and the lift tickets are great value by international standards.

Our stay was in the beginning of last May, which normally is in the middle of spring (in Japan). Therefore our original plan during the stay was to enjoy trekking in the foothills of Mt. Myoko. However, what we found out right after the arrival was a lot of snow on the foothill ground. Oh! No place to enjoy trekking....

We didn't stay at the hotel but enjoyed a very European/Japanese-mix coffee and French pastry for a relaxed escape from the busy slopes on a week-end. It was very luxurious and, although very expensive, worth it for the experience. The pastries were good and I even managed to get a capuccino - with some experimentation first.
