This ryokan, traditional Japanese hotel, is amazing. It is nestled high up in the mountains near Lake Tawazako but surprisingly easy to get to. You have access to three private hot springs so if your nervous about public nudity this is perfect. One of them is outdoors and is probably the most romantic experience I've ever had. It made my...

If you are looking for an action or party holiday then this place is not you. We stayed here for three nights at the end of a two week Japan trip, having spent the previous week skiing. The accomodation is secluded and traditional Japanese, and is one of the better Ryokans we've stayed in. Yamanoyado offers only small Onsen facilities...

Yamanoyado is famous for their onsen. We took a long way from akita to here. The greeting from the reception is warm welcome. The Room is very big compare with other traditional ryokan. The onsen is just stunning especially in snowing winter! it is worth the expensive price! The down side point is the food provided, the dinner is BBQ...

The rooms are spacious and airy, with good bathrooms and comfortable seating areas. The staff is just fantastic, always willing to go the extra mile to please! The food, served Irori style, and featuring...

While the hotel facility might not be as nice as it usually be for hotel this price, this unique experience is definitely worth it. There is no cell...
