we were greeted in an extremely friendly way and given clear instructions. the hotel was bright and clean, the breakfast superb with a variety of food and drinks. thought it would be noisy but it wasn’t. view over the harbour was stunning
We were lucky enough to get a room with both a view of the harbour and the castle. The sunset was breathtaking. The room was comfortable and the powerful shower in the bathroom was a nice bonus. Breakfast was plentiful so all in all we had a great time at the Beau Soleil Hotel.
Warm welcome, beautiful room overlooking the port (a "superior" room) . Might be noisy in summer or on the weekends - there is a bar downstairs. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was lovely and quiet. Helpful storage for our bikes.
The Hotel Beau Soliel is in the best location in Pornic, and provides a great base to explore the area. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are ok, but non-descript, and our bathroom was not spotless when we arrived. Some of the fittings are damages and its really difficult to hit right spot between a boiling or icy shower. There is paid parking in a secured garage about 10 minutes walk away, but be aware that access is via a ramp which scraped my car on entry and exit.
We stopped here on our cycling trip and it was good for the one night we were here. The owner was friendly, though he leaves the hotel in the evening so check you can make check in times. The room we had was small for the price, but you are paying for the position right in the centre of Pornic and the view of the harbour. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, many of them closed, as is the French way of doing business, but we found a good one just up the road. If you are cycling, it is often difficult to find a restaurant who has bothered to open but you will always be able to get a meal in this busy seaside town.
Excellent hotel great position on harbour front. Reception, nice welcome, lots of help for our stay, lovely room, spotless, great position adjacent to a 1 1/2 hour low cost/free at night car park, free 24hr carpark at about 500. So much choice for eating out within 150m including the hotel restaurant. We were second floor, not sure there was a lift but ok for us, we will return!
Room was clean and comfortable and had lovely views but for price was very small and hot (balcony was not big enough for a chair) it had refrigerated minibar but no tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast room was also cramped and selection was poor value for price - there looked to be better options available locally. Reception and bedrooms were all upstairs from street level and secure parking was available but a steep 10 minutes walk away - this is definitely not a suitable place for anyone with mobility issues.
Lovely location overlooking the harbour. Room was quirky but clean and comfortable. Incredibly noisy through the night (maybe had something to do with France winning a World Cup match!). Also noisy early next morning - bin lorries, deliveries etc. Loo seat was uncomfortably wobbly and side lamp blew. But staff were helpful and atmosphere was good. Didn’t have breakfast in the hotel - just went down the road for excellent coffee and a croissant. If I were to go back to Pornic I would probably choose someplace to stay that was a bit quieter. But you couldn’t possibly fault the view from this hotel.
Lovely hotel in a lovely location on the harbour. Rooms have everything you need but are fairly compact. Had a lovely sea view but didn't have the weather on our side. We had breakfast in the morning which is nice and plenty to choose from. Would stay again
We arrived soaking wet around for midday and amazingly given the keys to our room, which although compact had the amenities you'd expect with the addedbonus of overlooking the harbour which despite the rain was stunning...I'm so impressed I'm considering abother visit next year
