We phoned the property the morning of our arrival to ask for availability, which they had. We were asked to make the reservation through their booking system, which we did on our telephone. We came from the Loire area and did arrive around 14.00 hours. At the gateway Catherine (owner) told us in a pretty rude way that we were not welcome before 17.00 hrs. This we should have known because it is mentioned in the PDF of the booking confirmation. You will find it in a document on page 4 of the 12 PDF pages. We didn’t see this as we were glad we could read the main confirmation on our phone. We asked if we could use the pool or drop some of our luggage, this was not possible. With some vague remarks about Covid - 19 and cleaning we were send off. We completely understand that Covid-19 is a serious matter but as a host you should first welcome your guests and than explain they cannot enter the property. Which is in my opinion already a strange situation. Furthermore, on departure day you have to leave the property at 10.30. It would have been convenient if arrival and departure times were mentioned properly at the reservation form. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had a nice room at the first floor with a spacious terrace. The wc and bathroom are on the corridor for our own use. The guesthouse is very well organized, and that’s also an issue, you never had the feeling you were welcome and free to move. Every single thing has its own spot on the property and it feels that the maintenance of the property is more important than the guests. My partner and I worked for many years in the touristic industry and travelled a lot. We both wish that Catherine and Bastien can loosen up and relax a bit, cause the property is worth it.

This was our second stay here and it was as wonderful as last year. It's a bit removed from the main town and beaches but only a 10 min drive. However the location is rural with views of fields and horses. Muriel and Pascal are so welcoming and hospitable and very patient with our terrible French! The rooms are gorgeous, the pool area is lovely and the breakfast (continental) is amazing with the selection of breads and pastries. We stay with our two young children and the B&B offers a fridge and basic self-catering facilities if we wish to have supper there (Two huge supermarkets are only 5 mins drive away). Pornic and the surrounding area has lots to offer and Muriel and Pascal can give very good tips about what to do. I hope we will be back very soon! Highly Recommended.

What a wonderful find this was. Exactly as it appears on the website. Great location-handy for lovely beaches and places to eat out. Room was gorgeous, bathroom sublime. Fantastic hosts, who gave plenty of tips where to go, and where to eat etc. Wonderful hospitality. Our own private patio-just right for a snooze or read late afternoon. Enjoyed the dips in the pool to cool off. Lovely garden. Overall a fantastic stay-we have already booked for next year to ensure a reservation.
