We stayed in a 'superior' room in the main building. It was large with a four-poster bed and a sofa. In contrast to the minimalist style common in lots of hotel rooms, this had an old-fashioned charm with floral print curtains and bedding. The bed was really comfortable and we may just have been lucky to visit on a quiet...

This is a very charming hotel the staff make a big effort to make you feel at home, the fireplace and cosy bar make you feel at home away from home, very welcoming, the restaurant food is excellent quality and piping hot, the best meal I have had in a long time and they are very flexible for veggies which...

This review relates solely to the hotel's restaurant. I am one of a party of four (two couples)who for a number of years have dined out together on a regular basis.Having exhausted the restaurants in our local area we were looking for a new (to us)restaurant to visit.Luckily one of our party had hosted a social event at the Normanhurst...

Overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Decor in good condition if a little dated. A decent outlook of the garden from the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay it is not overpriced and the beds are comfortable which is a big plus

Picked the Normanhurst Hotel after reading recent reviews and found the hotel to be terrific. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Evening meal and breakfast were great. Room was very comfortable. The hotel is half a mile from the metro link and the service is ten minutes from Old Trafford. After a busy day in Manchester it was nice to...

Closed to my destination and Strafford moll. Little complicated for park, small car needed:). Great diner and breakfast. Tiramisu was delicious. Room and bathroom were clean. Improvement: heater could be put in bathroom. Employees great. Thanks for these 3 nights.

We chose the normanhurst hotel because of its proximity to the airport as we were due to pick up family early the next day. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and our room was sorted quickly. Our first impression was a good one; the rooms were clean and cosy. Once in the room we read the welcome letter...

My wife Annie and I had the pleasure of staying at the Normanhurst during our stop in Manchester. We spent three days, and what a lovely stay it was. The owner's treated us as if we were family. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel quintessentially English. The best seat in the house is in the lobby in...

Whenever we visit the Manchester area this hotel is our first choice. The Normanhurst is the last of the Arts and crafts(Art nouveau) era hotel on Brooklands road and arriving here is like being wrapped in a warm welcoming blanket! the staff are lovely friendly and attentive, the rooms are comfy and if you are lucky and get a room...

On arrival the weekend staff were excellent but things didn't go so well generally. We were in the annex and the room was very small. The twin beds were only six inches apart with a chair at one side which could not be pulled far enough out so that one of us could sit in it. The walls appeared to...
