The staff is great. Owners genuinely friendly and very hard working. Had the same room twice, at both ends of my vac. to York. I have no complaints, it was lovely. Modern, clean bathrm. The hotel has real, homey atmosphere, charm and history. Lots of love goes into maintaining the old hotel. The breakfast were the best I've had in...

Cannot praise Lennox Lea highly enough. Every time we stay improvements have been made to the rooms in this huge old Victorian house. Once again, a really good choice at breakfast. Go for the healthy options with fresh fruit or treat your naughty side and have the blockbuster 'Full Monty'. The friendly staff will cater for any choices you dream...

Room a good size but over looked by a large house opposite with a sitting room directly across from our bedroom, so no privacy. Bedroom dated with old fashioned decor and furniture. Dated bedspread and curtains. Large bathroom with no bath and only bath towels offered, no hand towels. Dated Lino on floor. Specifically asked for a hard fried egg...

Hi Mr Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. The hotel is located on a quiet residential road with other houses nearby, although because we are in our own grounds I would suspect it would be difficult for neighbours to be able to see in to our bedrooms. The building was built in the Victorian era...

Rooms lack privacy on account of paper thin fire doors joining bedrooms. One can hear every cough, burp, bed squeak and SMS from the neighbouring rooms. Car park is dusty and has a steep approach from roadside, not suitable for all vehicles (I grounded mine on way out) ! I bought up the issue of the inconvenience / disturbance from...

This hotel merits a sixth visit and if that is not the highest recommendation, I don't know what is!! The Lennox Lea is old fashioned hospitality in the best sense of the word, juxtaposed with all the mod cons. All the rooms are well fitted, bathrooms fully modernised, and the peace and quiet afforded is all the more remarkable considering...

We are a couple who were on a flying visit to see our son in Manchester. With a Metrolink stop practically at the end of the road, he was able to pop along to see us with very little difficulty. The room was superb with a very comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom, kitchen, conservatory and outdoor seating. The manageress was charming...

Stayed last Thursday night with Ollie our dog. What a beautiful hotel and the studio room was amazing a good space for us to chill. Exceptionally clean, everything we needed lovely decor in this grand elegant house. Within easy walking distance down a leafy avenue the fab Sale, gorgeous restaurants, bars a canal and a lovely vibe. The breakfast was...

We had booked an executive room at The Lennox Lea Hotel in advance knowing that our return flight to Manchester Airport would probably involve us in a lengthy journey back to Northumberland in the early hours of the morning. The owners, Mike and Joanna, had allowed us to park free for 6 nights on the outward journey, an arrangement which...

Why endure the hassle of parking at Manchester Airport and staying at one of the impersonal Airport hotels when you can get a much better deal in the leafy suburbs of Cheshire? We were offered 6 nights free parking at The Lennox Lea Hotel in exchange for booking an executive room on either the outward or return journey. With a...

Stayed here for one night at the end of a 3 week holiday in Europe and across U.K. Both my boyfriend and I wished we had of stayed there longer than in previous hotels.
