This new hotel is on raised ground and affords a great view over the ongoing construction works at Rikuzentakata. They don't seem to get many foreign tourists here and the staff on the front desk had to resort to their laminated cards of key phrases to check me in, but they were really lovely and anxious to help. great view, great food, very nice staffs. We had a family trip for the first time since Tinami occured and we were so impressed to see every staffs making us feel comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel in Rikuzentakata, I'm going to assume you aren't the average tourist and are up for an adventure. Getting here is a bit of a hassle, but well worth it if you can manage it. This hotel is brand new and located on a hill overlooking the huge construction zone that used to be...

Destroyed by the tsunami back in 2011 this newly rebuilt hotel is on higher ground overlooking the sea and what was the city. It's tastefully decorated, clean, and the staff are incredible. A must stay.
