For the price charged, the place is quite considerably old and pretty run down but the scenic view from the hot spring (onsen in Japanese) and the delicately prepared meals offset some of the disappointment.

I believe all the rooms are en-suite. We had 3 different room types between the 5 of us and they all had toilets and bathrooms. Although truth be told, washing in the en-suite bathroom was nowhere near as good as using one... More
I believe all the rooms are en-suite. We had 3 different room types between the 5 of us and they all had toilets and bathrooms. Although truth be told, washing in the en-suite bathroom was nowhere near as good as using one of the ryokan's on-site Onsens!
