We stayed here overnight as we had an appointment in Bath in the morning. Very nice family, lovely breakfast cooked for us early as requested and a very easy commute into Bath in the morning - 10 minutes. The pub across the road was an additional bonus with a red thai curry with monk fish on the menu as well...

This is a very old building. It is situated at the top of a hill by the crossroads. Despite the secondary glazing it was noisy. The bedroom we had was a strange shape with a small en-suite. The four poster was a small double. The breakfast was very good. The best connection to wifi was from the pub across the...

My husband and I visited our son who has recently relocated to Bath. We couldn't find anything suitable in Bath itself at a reasonable price, but managed to find The Plaine through Tripadvisor. We were delighted with everything. The guesthouse was comfortable and welcoming with a delicious freshly cooked breakfast. The village was a revelation! We watched England v Slovenia...

My friend and I had a great mini break using this lovely and homely guesthouse as a base. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Bath and the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious and Giles, our host, went out of his way to please; even returning a left item in the post to save us doubling...

Booked a 3 night stay at the Paine B&B as our son was getting married at Wick Farm ( perfect wedding venue). The bedroom was comfortable and although we had a third bed in there for your grandson, there was still enough room. Pre ordered our breakfast selection the evening before, so it was ready when we went to the...

After a lot of searching for accommodation in the Bath area, we came across The Plaine. I am glad we stayed here, it was a great find! Perfect for our visit to Longleat & Bath city centre. We had room 3 on the ground floor which was tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, which perhaps eliminated the traffic noise...

I booked a room here as a belated day & night away for my husbands bithday. We asked could we arrive early, even if just to drop our bags off, before we headed in to Bath for the afternoon/early evening. It was no problem at all. We headed back to the village in the evening, stopped at The George for...

Visited the Plaine in august 2014 for one last couple getaway before the arrival of or first child. The b&b is set in the heart of a lovely village with a couple of great pubs, and was close to both bath and a couple of spa hotels which we also visited. Steph the owner was a bundle of energy and...

What a charming, typically Cotswold village, (Norton St Philip), and, right in the middle, a gem of a bed and breakfast hotel! With great ambiance, welcoming owners, (Stephanie and Giles), and a great location, what better way to relax and explore all that this area has to offer. Away from the tourist bustle of Bath itself, but close enough to...
