The Plaine is a lovely guesthouse; clean, friendly, comfy, lovely location and great owners. The breakfast was yummy and set us up for the day. The 2 local pubs are just a hop, skip and a jump away. There is a bus stop just outside the guesthouse which takes you into Bath city centre in about 30 mins. Longleat is... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Plaine. Our room was lovely, 4 poster bed with views across the beautiful village of Norton St Philip. It was on the ground floor so ideal for people who have difficulty in with walking up stairs etc (like myself). Our hosts, Spehanie and Giles, were very friendly and nothing... More

One of the best B&B's that i've been to. Giles and Stephanie the owners are very chatty and are fantastic morning people. They were very chirpy and friendly to myself and my girlfriend. The breakfast was top notch. I would recommend this to anyone. In fact i already have.

The plaine is a fabulous place, great atmosphere and modern with the beauty of an old house. Steph the owner was a fabulous lady and so helpful. I stayed with my 2 young children and we were made to feel most welcome. I would suggest to any thinking of staying in that area to stay at the plaine you won't... More

'The Plaine' is set in the beautiful village of Norton St Philips, its an extrememly quaint and pretty little village. You know, stone cottages, winding roads, magnificent beamed buildings and even an old red telephone box! The plaine is in the heart of the village and whilsts there isnt actually too much to do in the village itself, it is... More

It may have been raining our first day at The Plaine, but Stephanie Hill, our host, made the sun shine with her sparkling personality and wit, as she served a classic English breakfast to my husband and me. Tummies filled daily, we embarked on forays of discovery around Bath, an area of incomparable beauty and historic encounters. Our room and... More

We chose to stay at The Plaine as part of a trip to Longleat and also for my birthday! The location was just lovely; set on the corner plot of a small village with two local pubs and views to die for. The owners of the Plaine were both so nice and made us feel welcome right from our first... More

Beautiful setting and the hotel was fab. Rooms with four poster beds and everything that you need. Breakfast cooked by Giles and served by Stephanie with good banter! Local knowledge really good and very helpful. Would definately recommend to friends. The George is literally 2 dozen paces from the front door, where the food and drink is excellent, perhaps too... Superb location, very picturesque village and Stephanie and Giles were excellent hosts. Breakfast absolutely spot on, rooms were immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend and would love to return again - located nicely in between Bath and Longleat safari park, a great base for local exploring.
