We came here In Jan 2020 after reading loads of great reviews and there are some great things about this hotel - lovely staff, right on the beach, decent breakfast bought to your room. We upgraded our room to one of those right on the beachfront, can't recommend this enough every morning we saw the sunrise from our bed it was amazing and falling asleep to sound of waves. The path down to the hotel is past lots of local huts its a bit of an experience when you first arrive! Its just a bit of a shame this hotel is just the rooms, there is no central point to socialise no restaurant or bar. And unfortunately, and this is no fault of the hotel, there are loads of boats moared on the beach directly by the hotel. So there are a few sunbeds (not many) on the hotel beach but the swimming there isn't very nice as you have to swim around the boats. This is unfortunately a bit of a problem on a lot of this side of the coast such a shame really they should just have an area for the boats and then clear areas for swimming. Ko Lipe is an incredible island and we loved staying here, we hope they can clear the beach in front which would make staying here so much better.…

Stayed here for 5 days and were distinctly underwhelmed given the rave reviews here on Tripadvisor. Here are a few of the pros and cons..... Pros - Right on the beach - Nice to have breakfast brought your balcony (although they only do this as the hotel is so small they have literally no where else to serve it) - Had a good nights sleep Cons - Hotel is tiny, it is sandwiched in a thin sliver of land, and has no facilities other than the rooms itself - We werent impressed with the beach outside the hotel, it is tiny and all the boats are moored infront of the hotel so it isn't great for swimming - It is the most unattractive entrance to the hotel down a dustry side street - Hotel was very expensive, although it was Chinese New Year so maybe prices are higher We wished we saved the cash and just stayed at a basic hotel in land instead…

I just love this place!!! Gotta go back soon! Wonderful staff! ❤️ And awesome to be served breakfast at the balcony! Loved it! ❤️ If you’re gonna stay at the Sunrise beach this is the place to be!!! Quite but yet near to the walking street and all the party places further down the beach. Also near yoga places and stuff! ❤️

Located on a nice beach. Close to Some great local restaurants with great food! The staff was really kind and very helpfull. It was nice to start the day with a breakfast on the balcony every morning.

We never usually return to the same places Let alone same hotel but we loved this place so much last year that we decided to come back again this year for 5 nights during our travels around Malaysia. Again can’t fault this place great having your breakfast served on your balcony. Only thing we did miss this year is that they have done away with the little bar they used to have on the beach.
