Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The room was very clean with all the extra you expect, tea, coffee, minibar, toiletries etc. The bed is soft but firm and not your typical Thai style mattress. I love that there is a ceiling fan as well as air con plus you can always open the balcony doors for some free sea breeze.
We were in room 706 which is right up near reception, there is a partial water view but you get a garden view. It is very quite and you don’t get any noise from the pool and bar area or large groups.
It is only a short walk to the beach, pool and bar area. The beach is prefect for sunrise.
If you have mobility problems this might not be the best place as there are a lot of stairs as the complex is built in a slop.
The staff are amazing and would not let as do anything to help carry bags or drinks. They are always so friendly with big smiles.
It would be great to see the collecting of rubbish off the beach in front of the resort and signage to encourage people on the beach to pick up rubbish and bring back to have it disposed of properly. Even provide guests with a reusable bag to carry and collect rubbish as they walk along the beach.

Idyllic is a stunning resort near the end of the beach with excellent snorkeling a brief kayak ride (available for rent at a very fair price) away. The staff go above and beyond and have the professionalism of an international resort. The restaurant is surprisingly good and the breakfast amply stocked. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. There is a bit of a hike to/from the reception and the beach, but the hillside location also means most rooms have ocean views. They included a taxi to/from the pier and even took us to Walking Street for some light shopping.

We spent 18 nights at the Idyliic in Jan 20. and we could have stayed longer, excellent location with this hotel being based on the best part of Sunrise Beach, with fewer boats than the rest of the beach, management and staff excellent especially breakfast staff, who greeted us every morning with a big smile and a warm welcome, especially Noi, Aleesa. And Danny for keeping us entertained. Special thanks for Woody who made us comfortable on the beach everyday. We stayed in a i luxury room, 401, next to library, was not always quiet as it had a seating area, but the room was huge and comfortable. Pools at this resort were a god send when the tide was out as it was hot. And finally a huge thank you to the general manager Mr Biggs for his kindness with his guests and his excellent staff. We will be back as this is one of the best places we have stayed in visits to Thailand over 21 years, we did not want too leave and we will try and stay longer soon. This is my second time visiting Lipe, but the first time that I stayed at Idyllic. The resort located at the very end of sunrise beach, so the hotel came to pick us up from Pattaya beach. I would try to avoid weekends if possible cause dining hall would be super crammed in the evenings and it’s not a great experience.
Room: We stayed in the pool access room, we booked 2 rooms, the rooms were very spacious and modern, however one of the rooms had a pungy pipe smell from the bathroom and the phone wasn’t working. I had to call twice to get assistance with these issues.
Snorkelling: We booked a snorkelling trip with the hotel (private charter), I knew they were charging more than if I was to book with other hotels, which I can accept, but then personally I find it not fair that they charge 50 baht for snorkel equipment, I have never been on a trip that does not provide snorkelling gear. At least for this extra surplus complimentary water would have been nice. We were a group of 5 and the longtail that they called for us could have been bigger. I had a much better experience with another resort I stayed before with a better deal.
Food & Drink They have an extensive menu with both Thai and international food, and it tastes good! I like their happy hour and they serve beer in ice cold bucket with ice glass! I wish their morning buffet could have been better, it was quite lacking for a luxury hotel to be honest. Better staff service at the dining hall in the morning would be good. I don’t like how you have to take your shoes off to enter the dining area, the floor isn’t that clean and I felt very uncomfortable walking barefoot around and also into the toilet.
Around Lipe: This time we did not go anywhere on Lipe island, hotel charges 50 baht one way to walking street so it’s better we walk there ourselves.
Overall I felt like it was not up to par for this price point, they have a lot to improve on.

We spend our third holiday at this magnificent hotell. The rooms are very clean and nice with both a shower and a bathtub. The staff are incredible helpful, always wanting us to be satisfied and comfortable. The breakfast is very nice, including everything we could want for. The whole atmosfere at the whole hotel including the surroundings is calm and peacful. The hotel is on the best beach on the island. You really must try the barbercue they have at the hotel.

The hotel has everything for the one needs to have a wonderful time.
Great service!!! All employees have a “very high service mindset” they truly care for customer feeling with a great customer handling skills especially Manager Perry who take care of my requests nicely and professionally.
Really WOW and missed this place already, had so much fun and good time.
Definitely the best, already planning our next trip back.
PS. Room good, water and beach clean and clear, fast check-in, seafood not so fresh due to the number of traveler during covid19 is not much but still tasty, lovely cocktails and fun tequila shot.

This is my 2nd visit to Idyllic after 6years. The hotel expanded a lot, with the rooms on the hill side....as a result the breakfast place is very crowded all morning.
Staffs: very friendly & helpful
Food: breakfast has variety of western & Thai food. Egg station, noodle stand, Roti stand. Happy hour with drinks 1 free 1 from 2-7pm.
Room: We stayed in the garden rooms. Air con working fine, clean bed sheets, furniture is a bit old, there are a lot of flies in our room and on patio everyday :(
Beach: nice clean beach, a bit crowded
We booked the snorkeling trips via hotel & they are wonderful. Lunch packed in environmental friendly lunch box, boats arrive on time, towels available.

Idyllic Concept Resort is a beautiful holiday resort. The location and park itself make for a perfect holiday destination, for couples as well as families or groups.
The park has a beautiful beach in front which is not too busy since it's near the end of the sunrise beach, this also means that there are some beautiful rock formations which you can view and take some pictures at. Also there are coral reefs very close which are amazing to see, you can view them with snorkeling gear from the resort. There are also kayaks which you can use when there is high tide, so you can peddle around the beach or can even explore some nearby islands.
There are many different rooms each with nice surprises or extras like a beautiful view, a bathtub on a nice spot, an outside shower, a big balcony with nice places to relax, a garden bench, etc. The beds and towels are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful to assist with any wishes or inconveniences.
There is a very professional fitness center, where you can do all the fitness training you are used to doing at home. The resort has 2 swimming pools which are kept nice and clean. You can take a big towel and relax on the chairs near the pool and enjoy a cocktail or some food. The food tastes great and fresh and there is a good size menu. In the morning there is a breakfast buffet with a wide choice of foods and drinks which you can enjoy while enjoying the calming effect of the ocean view.
Sometimes special events are organized , Seafood buffet with live music and a fire show. Or an evening cocktail at the beach with great live music as well.
At the resort you can enjoy all the comforts and luxuries you want, and of course the location is what makes it great, Ko lipe is an amazing island to explore. And Idyllic is an amazing place to stay.

A resort that requires climbing up / down either from room to pool / breakfast restaurant or room to reception (depending on which part of the resort you stay)
Check-in / out Was pretty fast
Rooms We booked 3 rooms & were allocated 114, 115 and 108. 114 is the biggest amongst the 3 given we paid same room rate and these 3 are supposed to be same room type. The other 2 rooms are relatively small and quite castrophobic. The room nicely sits a bed and left with little room space. Definitely will not recommend a triple share. There will be no space for luggages. Also feels not right that we paid same price, different sized room.
Relatively old, not been upkept well especially the toilet tiles. Phone and safe not working upon check in. The lock to balcony not functioning well.
Inconsistent housekeeping standards.
F&B One and only restaurant that serves 3 meals.
Breakfast was enough but not fantastic spread.
Ordered soft boil eggs, not cooked.
Ordered hard boil eggs, turned out soft boil.
We had ala carte meals throughout the day while hanging out at the beach, they were mostly good.
Transport It cost THB50 per person to go anywhere island wide. No nego. You may wish to contact Mr Phat at 087-4689611. Find him reliable and very flexible to our request. You can always get the resort to call him on your behalf if going anywhere. Max 3 in one tuk tuk.
Immigration Chaotic, nobody tells you what to expect. Just need to ask around. A friend lost her baggage as they left it in the ferry.

We first booked this resort off Agoda for 5 nights during July 2021. There was a taxi to bring us from the pier to the resort. The staff were really friendly and accomodating and the upgraded us for free as the hotel was quite quiet due to the pandemic.
Our room was amazing with a balcony, massive bathtub in the middle of the room and about a 30 second walk from the beach. There was unlimited breakfast delivered to the room each morning.
The staff were all super friendly especially Von and the kitchen manager (sorry I forgot her name) made us feel at home at this resort.
We loved it so much that our 5 nights became 2 weeks then it became 3 weeks and 1 day and unfortunately we couldn't extend anymore because the Pak Bara - Lipe speedboats were stopping for a month due to the pandemic.
Would love to go back to Koh Lipe and Idyllic once this pandemic is over.

Which room types have a sea view/ partial sea view? Also, are there any specific room types to avoid? (I have read some rooms just look out onto concrete walls so no view at all).
