We booked a so called 'Sea View Room' at an extortionate price, about £100 per day (we know lipe is expensive). The Photos of the wooden buildings looked good on the booking dot com website, and they gave the impression of having a clear sea views and rooms right in the beach next to the sea. Also the rooms looked quality in the photos but unfortunately we were deceived.. When we arrived at the reception, which is table in the back of a terrible looking cafe, we were greeted with a welcome drink of... wait for it... a glass of drinking water! Wow! Then the real con began... We were then asked to pay the full amount, as agreed in the booking, but I could see only one wooden building with a true sea view. So I asked to first see the room before I handed over any money. Sure enough, as I had suspected, we were led to a room a LONG walk away from the beach to a room with absolutely NO sea view. We then showed them the booking which clearly said SEA VIEW ROOM and they said that they did not get that information which was rubbish as they must have had the same information that we had. They were obviously lying about that for 2 reasons - (1) They were trying to charge us a sea view room rate, (2) booking dot com confirmed that we both had the same information. Anyway they said we would have with the no sea view room and wait until tomorrow to be moved. We said that is unacceptable and also asked to see the room we would move to just out of curiosity. That turned out to be a room with only half a sea view AND is seat back far from the sea - BECAUSE NOW A MASSIVE CAFE HAS BEEN JUST BUILT IN FRONT OF THE SEA VIEW BUNGALOWS. We asked about the one room which has a true sea view (but is still seat far back) and they said that is is being lived in for a year! There was one more room next to it which also has a sea view which they offered instead but we turned it down as it was very ugly, was far from the sea and not the wooded design as advertised. To cut a long story short, I was really were furious about this. My girlfriend was really upset and we complained to booking dot com report this terrible Lion Resort for deceiving people with their photos an descriptions. Other things to note, the rooms had massive gaps in them and were FULL OF MOSQUITOS and COCKROACHES. That with their lies and disgustingly unhygienic food and rip off prices, makes this one of THE WORST PLACES WE'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. DO NOT STAY HERE.. LOOK ELES WHERE. (We ended up in Bella Vista down the beach which although basic, was clean and excellent service).

The rooms were very basic with gaps where mosquitoes and cockroaches could get in. They were also incredibly hot, even with two fans. The breakfast was the worst I think I have ever had and the staff were incredulous when we asked them to clean our room twice in two days. The beach is beautiful and peaceful and the rooms are pretty much on the beach but that's probably the only redeemable feature.

Moved here from noisy e d of resort. It was quieter and the grounds prettier than nearer walking street. Room was comfortable but toilet not bug proof and our shower only ran cold. Our major issue was with the buffet breakfast. It was cooked ready for 7am opening and put out without heating. By 8 am everything was cold. The local bar was great and they will bring food from restaurant to it.

Terrible in every way. Ordered smoothies and tuna baguette and after half an hour they came back and said that they were out of baguettes. “Fresh fruit” was all but fresh. After 45 minutes we gave up when the reason we hadn’t gotten our juice was that they are out of ice

BAD!BAD!BAD! PLEASE avoid this place! Expensive small portions for nothing. Please better go to 4 stars resorts restaurants, believe me, here is cheaper than in this Lion restaurant!!!! 😁 Sea food salad for 250 Bath is more onion spicy salad with a few shrimps ...I had never eaten such a bad salad in Thailand during my "n" visits. Btw, it is 1st mine bad review, so please keep in mind - It's true.

The Lion restaurant is in front of the Lion Resort near the western end of Pattaya Beach, near Sita Resort. It offered really authentic Thai cooking at reasonable prices (for the island, which are usually more than double the mainland prices, obviously due to transportation). We had meals there 4 or 5 times during our stay. Each meal was typically Thai with no tourist embellishments. Just great cooking. This comes from someone who has lived in Thailand for more than a decade. Friendly service, with kids and dogs running around. Regular seafood buffets on the beach, or you can eat in the raised restaurant with good ocean views. This place certainly put most of the 'Walking Street' eateries to shame. Highly recommended.

Went to have lunch... ordered spring rolls and fried veggie with chicken. They came back to say that they had no more spring rolls ?? She asked if i wanted small or large plate for veggies and chicken, I asked for large as I was pretty hungry. After waiting a while, got the tinniest plate ever. Mentioned I asked for big, she said that is big... no. It’s not. She showed me the “small” plate in comparison... it was essentially the same plate. So I had to pay 150 baht (which is a lot for this dish) for a very small portion and had to go elsewhere to eat again as it basically served as an entrée
