The resort features different bamboo and wooden bungalows that are beachfront facing the sea, garden rooms facing the garden, and sea-breeze rooms having a partial sea-view. It also features family rooms. We had booked a beachfront wooden bungalow and a family room. The beachfront wooden bungalow has a balcony with a daybed and Thai pillows facing toward the Sunrise Beach that allowed us to relax and enjoy uninterrupted sea views. All the rooms have the facilities of attached bathroom, free WiFi, and hot shower, and the whole resort area is under CCTV surveillance, so you can chill and enjoy. There are also laundry facilities and travel desk at the reception. Breakfast is also included with the stay.

This place was ideal for us. We had two of the 'sea-breeze' huts (one row back from the beach and on stilts). The resort is in a lovely spot on the beach and just a 10 min walk away from Koh Lipe's walking street. The aircon was great and the mosquito nets over the bed was a really handy addition (not one bite.. and usually I get eaten alive).
The bar staff were really friendly and make good margaritas (we had many) and the food is decent. Better food is available further along the beach but, quite honestly, we spent so much time at the resort during the day, it was nice to go for a wander to seek out somewhere different to eat at night.
Absolutely no complaints. Typical Thai beach huts with comfy beds and fresh bedding/cleaning as often or as you want. The shower pressure isn't great but it's fairly simple plumbing so to be expected.
We spent a full week here which on reflection was probably a little too long. I'd say 4/5 nights is perfect if you're hopping around different islands. That said, now I'm back home, I'd gladly return for a fortnight :)

Overall, our impressions of staying in Lipe Beach Resort are pleasant. We did like a lot of things here: the staff, who is working here, was kind, amicable and extremely helpful; the food and drinks in local café was palatable and we really enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches there; the beach was really clean, and territory of the Resort is so beautiful as if it was made for snaping numerous super-cool photos. Also, we did like the location of the Hotel because it let us enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. We met the sunrises, sitting on the patio in our bungalow, and it took us just five minutes to take a short stroll towards the place where we were meeting the sunsets (not far from Zodiac Bar). Unfortunately, our main concern which hindered our staying in Lipe Beach Resort to become one-hundred percent perfect was also related with its location. Truth be told it wasn’t even a fault of the place, it just happened, that there was the boat station nearby and noise of engine woke us up at dawn every morning (about 5 am or something) because of that we had difficulties with sleep. At the same time, I repeat myself, I don’t consider it as a fault of the Hotel and just share our experience. Other than that, I would say, that Lipe Beach Resort is a decent place to spend the vacation on Lipe and from our side we wish this place all the best!

We booked a front line villa with aircon and we were very satisfied with it. It had a fridge, nice bathroom and fantastic sea view. The first thing we noticed though were a list of ‘fines’ on the wall in case you broke or indeed lost an item. There was even a price on the list for losing a tea spoon! We were worried when we found that our bedside lamp was broken, it had been taped together and leaned up against the wall so whoever touched it would ‘break’ it. We reported it, we were questioned about the circumstances but I don’t think we will be fined ( lamp not on fine price list oddly). Breakfast can be a bit stressful if you want to veer from the set options, I’d advise against it as (depending on who serves you) there are additional charges although breakfast is generally ok. The girl waitressing at breakfast is the only grumpy Thai person I have ever met but at least she is consistently grumpy so by day 3 there’s no point in attempting any good mornings in Thai or English. Th e food is hit and miss especially at night so I’d advise eating elsewhere. Thai Thai around the back of the resort is absolutely fabulous for food and it’s really cheap.
On the whole though the ‘resort’ is in a great position with a large beach in front. The best beach on the island. You can walk up to the top to see the sunset and you can see the sunrise from the bed. 2 bottles of water are left on the terrace for you each morning.
There was a large boat about 200 meters away from our resort that seemed to be collecting the islands rubbish. It was there for 3 days and it absolutely stank. So much so that we couldn’t go to the bars or even walk near that part of the beach. I don’t know how often this happens and we couldn’t smell it from the resort but if we had been staying at the resort next door we wouldn’t have been happy.
Considering we paid a premium price for the villa even by European standards it’s a shame that they come across as penny pinchers. It spoils an otherwise perfect ambiance.

I will keep this brief.
Pros: Location is great, on a very wide stretch of sunrise beach, with table and beach platforms to lounge on during the day, a swimming area cordoned off from the log tails, right next to Forra Diving and a short walk down from Zodiac. The drive in is a bit rough and it is at least a 10 minute walk to walking street.
Food is decent, included breakfast is pretty mediocre.
Rooms are pretty typical simple bungalows, AC only in the more expensive room.
Cons: Expensive for what it is, at least in high season. Same price point as the Idyllic, which I think has better facilities.
The one thing I found shocking was the bad service. In particular, the main waiter in the restaurant can be very unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked him the bring me some ice, he told me to go to the bar and get it myself. Excuse me bro, isn’t your only job being a waiter? Yesterday, I ordered some simple noodle soup. Waited for 30 minutes. When I asked where the soup was, I was told the kitchen was busy and it would be another 20 minutes. 50 minutes for some soup? Also, WTF didn’t you tell me about the delay when I first sat down? Not sure whether the place is understaffed or what, but not sure I have ever had such consistently bad service and bad attitude anywhere else in Thailand.
I should say that the bartenders are cool guys, very friendly.
So yeah, love the beach, indifferent to the room, found it to be a bit expensive and I thought the service was really quite bad, especially for Thailand.

I booked a garden view with air con. It was our wedding anniversary and they but flowers on the bed and wrote happy anniversary with them. It's not on the beach but furthest away, no real view of beach, but it is feels secluded, quiet, no noise from long-tail boats. It was ideal for me. Bungalow lush wooden bed so comfortable and pillows too, has mosquito net around, I always get bitten and I did. Outside lovely big veranda with cushions but could have done with 2 chairs to sit on instead of bamboo area. Other bungalows did but not our chosen one.
Staff really friendly.
Breakfast good and good choices.
If you want room cleaned you put key in reception before 2pm otherwise they leave you alone.
Hotel area quiet really early, no where to get a drink. We walked to walking street about 10 minutes or you can try and get a taxi. They close around 12pm.
Beach area fantastic
I would definitely come back and have same room. S25.

I found it quite difficult to rate this hotel , it’s more than an average but doesn’t rate as very good in my opinion.
The good points - the location on sunrise beach was great. We had a front row hut directly facing the beach and sea and the view was amazing . I thought the hotel bar was good , service friendly , food was really nice , although breakfast was a bit limited . Had a couple of massages from the lovely ladies at the massage area and they were great and very reasonable . The free bottles of water everyday were a nice touch . All the staff were very nice and friendly .
The not so good points - even though the beachfront hut was pretty expensive the facilities within it were pretty basic . Obviously I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but there was hardly anywhere to hang any clothes and the small area there was only had 4 hangers . No drawer space, not even any hooks or rails . We were staying for a week and didn’t want to live out of a suitcase , so as a consequence we had to use the sofa and it’s mosquito net as a make shift clothes storage area. Fridge was a bonus but it was very old and rusty. The problem also was that all the electrics in the room only worked if the key fob was in it’s little container thing . So when you went out the fridge turned off , so if you were out for a long time you came back to warm drinks .
The bathroom was very very basic , the shower and the toilet were in the same area which was not ideal as the toilet was soaking wet after someone had been in the shower . The shower itself was not good , there was an overhead raindrop shower which wasn’t connected to the electric shower so was freezing cold and the hand held that was connected was luke warm at best and not very good . We had no pipe under the sink so when you pulled the rusty plug up the water just poured onto the floor . The light was really dim so you had to get ready for your night out whilst it was still light as otherwise you couldn’t see anything ( only mirror was in the bathroom). No where to hang towels and very little space to put toiletries and the shelf wasn’t straight either . As mentioned at the beginning of the review I do appreciate it’s a hut on the beach but for the money we paid for it I would have expected the facilities to be a bit better than they were .
The bar and the restaurant closed very early but I suppose they feel there is no need to stay open any later as Walking Street was a 15 minute walk away . We did eat at the restaurant a few times and as mentioned already I thought the food was very nice . A problem we did have though when all 13 of us were eating there , the waiting staff didn’t speak English so when they brought the dishes up they just put them on the table and left us to work out what and whose they were . This led to a lot of confusion and people eating the wrong dinners .
Would I stay here again? Not sure .

ホテルまで距離がありますので、港からはタクシー必須です。クレジットカード使えますが3%が追加されますのでご注意をください。
A bit far from port you need taxi service to reach hotel. I paid 59 baht for each person.
When you check in required cash or credit card but you required additional 3% in your bill if you select credit card to pay.
The room is not so big but enough to stay and hot water and amenities available in the room.
If you select to enjoy dinner at the hotel, you might go to elephant bar and the price not so expensive it’s like 120 Bart for each dish my case was 1000 baht with 2 bottle of bear and some of dish of Thai cuisine. In the restaurant you might need cash to pay.(Cash will discount 10%)
Please enjoy your stay!

My tips for choosing Lipe Beach resort is first staff, then location and if it possible, a beach front bungalow. The combination is the perfect choise for a "paradise within a paradise". The food is great and the people working here is doing all and more to make your stay the best, so it has been for me the last three years. It is a laid back place so if you are looking for a 5 star retreat/resort with every modern tech gear to entertain you, think again. This place is all about "just being". And, they do it great! :) Looking for a pleace to really relax, come here. The beauty of the location is something from a storybook. They the staff will assist you with anything you need, just ask and be friendly and you'll get so much more back. I can't wait until my next visit.

This was such a lovely few days! We moved to this resort after an awful experience at another resort.
Great location on a really clean and lovely beach.
Great VFM in lovely bungalows that are clean and very well looked after.
Staff were amazing, esp the manager (Vom). They look after the beach (as do all the resorts on this beach to be fair) and ensure it is clean / tidy
Food was good and reasonably priced. Great massage available too.
.
Highly recommend
