Great environment, great beachfront, super friendly staff and excellent breakfast. We have stayed elsewhere on Ko Lipe and would most definitely stay here again. The rooms were super spacious and have everything you need for a stay on the island.
The only good thing about this hotel is just the location. There is no service, no friendliness of staffs especially the reception and the lady staff at breakfast, no smile. They have never greeted us first and we had to tell them that we needed to order breakfast. When we checked in, the room was very dirty and the fridge was minging. I do not recommend to take the beach front or the second front roll unless you can sleep easily. Every night we could hear the music from the party until 2 am, then around 5-6 am the long tail boats. This because the glass windows and the walls are thin and not sound proof. We were glad to move to the different hotels after 2 nights as we didn’t have enough sleep here.
6 Nights of dissapointments 1. Upon arrrival the lady at the reception area is unwelcoming and do not know how to greet a guest who came a long way for their much awaited vacation, she seems amgry and the first thing she said was " Check in here, can I have your passport, breakfast is here make your coffee by yourself here" You will feel that she is not happy that she has to work. 2. She showed us our room, we were greeted by a musty old smell of the room, mouldy and feels weird. She pointed at our key and left. No more words. 3. Breakfast- if you will book here which I dont recommend, do not book with breakfast its TERRIBLE. Save yourself and get breakfast at the walking street. I once ordered an omelet, it was a scrambled egg rolled nothing inside, a chicken rice porridge that was bland. In my opinion, breakfast is what sets the tone of the day, and it doesnt have to be a 5 star meal, just something that shows "service". We dont feel we are on a holiday. 4. On our 3rd day, my partner step foot on the wooden platform upon entering our room and it broke, he feel on his foot on the wooden hole witnessed by 3 staffs who were currently cleaning our room and none of them reacted,as if its a normal thing to happen with their guest. One lady came qith a first aid kit but she dont know what to do. NO ONE APOLOGIZED FROM THE MANAGEMENT. My partner's whole leg was bruised and turned green. Of course they dont care. 5. I dont know if its normal but we find it weird that the staff dont greet their guest, in my 7 mornings here nobody even said "goodmorning" or even smiled at us. We are always the one greeting them and get nothing in return, they dont reply too. The staff were cold and unpolite, looks like they dont want guests in here so they dont have to work. Most of the time they are hanging out at the bar, with their phones or sleeping while the beach beds are dirty and the umbrellas are not prepared. Not even offer a towel if you are in the beach bed which drips water when you sit on it because the leather cover is damaged so expect to be wet. 6. Room amenities are old, 2 showers but the other one doesn't have hot water. Bed sheets were changed every 2 days. Lots of mosquito in the room, we had 2 frogs too inside. The only nice thing we experienced here is the driver who picked us up in the Pier, even he doesnt speak english you know he is trying his best. A place could be nice but with unwelcoming staff it could be a nightmare. And vice-versa. …
Overall accommodation just fine.. Set breakfast are boring, few choices, not enjoyable and not recommend for foreigner. Staff are arrogance, not a friendly, not informative, poor communication skill. Price are OK. If you don't mind services, go ahead and try. For 5 of us----never again.
This is my first time staying at Koh Lipe. Overall we enjoyed it very much! Our group of 5 stayed in a Balinese beachfront row 2 bungalow, and the view is excellent! Very close to the reception/bar. The bar doesn’t have many options though, but we were happy with the ice cold beers! The beach in front is very nice too! We booked a snorkelling trip with the hotel as well and the longtail boat picked us up straight from the beach in front of the hotel. Breakfast wise, don’t expect some fancy buffet food. You get to pick from a few options, for me I enjoyed the Thai style porridge and fried rice, American breakfast was too basic. This hotel is great for someone who like peace and simple! As of now the weekend gets busy with Thai tourists, i would recommend not staying Saturday night, apart from this I wouldn’t mind coming back here :)…
The location on Pattaya Beach is great. We stayed in Beachfront Luxury Bungalow which offered Balinese style, outdoor bathroom and fantastic sea view. However, the price is so high comparing with the services provided. The way down to the resort entrance is dangerous. No welcome drink upon arrival. Check-in process is very fast as they didn't inform anything much. The room looks old and need some renovating. You need to walk to the bar with no one there to get some hot water or refill drinking water. No kayak here, you need to rent from outside shops. Regarding breakfast, you can choose only 1 from 3: omelette, pork or chicken fried rice and it's tasteless. Moreover, they served us with the rusty spoon, it's disgusting. At night, there was a party in front of the beach. It was very noisy and we could not sleep until 4 am in the morning. There is no one at the reception again. We then texted them, read but no answer until now. Disappointed.…
I enjoyed it very much it was very relaxed had a great time. The room was clean beautiful the outside bathroom was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beach was clean and nice good for swimming and snorkeling. The breakfast was simple and only four choices the could be better. But Koh Lipe is very nice and beautiful.
Magnificent hotel. Thank goodness the pisvine saved our vacation because the sea was not accessible because of the boats that are everywhere. Hotel Nikel! Top service. We were in an individual chalet it was great
First time in Koh Lipeh and this resort, was a fantastic place to visit and would highly reccomend both. The hotel is situated on a great beach and all rooms are bungalow style. Great breakfast and friendly staff at all times, tea, coffee and water free throughout the day is a great bonus.Walking Street is a 5 minute walk with many bars, restaurants and shops to choose from.
The location on Pattaya Beach is excellent. It’s at the quieter end with lovely soft white sand and clear water. No noise from Walking Street etc but within easy reach of a variety of bars and restaurants. The grounds are very nice though a little neglected. The rooms are a reasonable size with a comfortable double bed. We stayed in the “ garden wing” and each bungalow as a totally glass front and each directly faces another one. Be prepared to be on display or move around in the dark with curtains closed. Bathrooms are large but very basic. Not everyone will like the “wet room approach”. The whole place has a dated feel - both in terms of design and maintenance. The restaurant area is open air and has the feel of a campsite with basic wooden tables and chairs. The breakfast is OK if limited. Most of the staff, while being reasonably efficient, look uninterested; there is nothing of the normal Thai hospitality and warmth that we have almost always found in years of travelling in Thailand. It feels like a dated package hotel. It’s OK and the price is good but there are much better places on the island.…
