This is my first time staying at Koh Lipe. Overall we enjoyed it very much! Our group of 5 stayed in a Balinese beachfront row 2 bungalow, and the view is excellent! Very close to the reception/bar. The bar doesn’t have many options though, but we were happy with the ice cold beers! The beach in front is very nice too! We booked a snorkelling trip with the hotel as well and the longtail boat picked us up straight from the beach in front of the hotel. Breakfast wise, don’t expect some fancy buffet food. You get to pick from a few options, for me I enjoyed the Thai style porridge and fried rice, American breakfast was too basic. This hotel is great for someone who like peace and simple! As of now the weekend gets busy with Thai tourists, i would recommend not staying Saturday night, apart from this I wouldn’t mind coming back here :)

Loved this resort! Great room (we had the beachfront bungalow), awesome staff, and a wonderful beach. The location is great, close enough to the walking street area to easily stroll there but far enough away where the beach traffic was minimal. There is a reef for snorkeling right in front of the hotel and, as a bonus, it is the one of the few places on the beach where there are no long tail traffic. The food at the hotel was great and there is unlimited coffee, tea, and water at the beachside bar. Would absolutely recommend this place for visitors of any age.

First time in Koh Lipeh and this resort, was a fantastic place to visit and would highly reccomend both. The hotel is situated on a great beach and all rooms are bungalow style. Great breakfast and friendly staff at all times, tea, coffee and water free throughout the day is a great bonus.Walking Street is a 5 minute walk with many bars, restaurants and shops to choose from.

The location on Pattaya Beach is great. We stayed in Beachfront Luxury Bungalow which offered Balinese style, outdoor bathroom and fantastic sea view. However, the price is so high comparing with the services provided. The way down to the resort entrance is dangerous. No welcome drink upon arrival. Check-in process is very fast as they didn't inform anything much. The room looks old and need some renovating. You need to walk to the bar with no one there to get some hot water or refill drinking water. No kayak here, you need to rent from outside shops. Regarding breakfast, you can choose only 1 from 3: omelette, pork or chicken fried rice and it's tasteless. Moreover, they served us with the rusty spoon, it's disgusting. At night, there was a party in front of the beach. It was very noisy and we could not sleep until 4 am in the morning. There is no one at the reception again. We then texted them, read but no answer until now. Disappointed.

We stayed at Mali pattaya beach like 4 nights at beachfront ocean villa ( the best room type in this hotel) but we are really disappointed ..The room is so old and dirty. Curtain and fridge have mold . Water in the bathroom is dark . Look terrible. We must buy bottle of water from 7/11 to wash our face and brush our teeth. Staff is unfriendly at all . Just someone is ok . Housekeeper did not change our bath sheet .Normally they should change it at least 1 time if i stay 4 nights . Never refill bathroom amenity and did not wash our glass after we use . This is a kind of far away from standard service that we should get !!!!! Anyway…ocean view is the best on this on hotel .

The location on Pattaya Beach is excellent. It’s at the quieter end with lovely soft white sand and clear water. No noise from Walking Street etc but within easy reach of a variety of bars and restaurants.
The grounds are very nice though a little neglected. The rooms are a reasonable size with a comfortable double bed. We stayed in the “ garden wing” and each bungalow as a totally glass front and each directly faces another one. Be prepared to be on display or move around in the dark with curtains closed. Bathrooms are large but very basic. Not everyone will like the “wet room approach”. The whole place has a dated feel - both in terms of design and maintenance. The restaurant area is open air and has the feel of a campsite with basic wooden tables and chairs. The breakfast is OK if limited. Most of the staff, while being reasonably efficient, look uninterested; there is nothing of the normal Thai hospitality and warmth that we have almost always found in years of travelling in Thailand. It feels like a dated package hotel. It’s OK and the price is good but there are much better places on the island.

We were met at the pier by one of the hotel team members who carted our luggage all the way to the hotel.
Check-in was a bit odd as there is no front desk so everything is done at the bar.
Our unit was at the very back of the resort, backing the kitchen which was very noisy first thing in the morning and woke us up every morning. It's definitely dated and could use some updating. The mini fridge in the unit worked but was literally falling apart and we had a mess of rusty water a few times. Safe in the room didn't work for us.
Tons of mosquitoes early morning and at dusk so make sure to bring or purchase good repellent and the coils for the front deck area if you plan to sit outside.
No pool but the snorkeling right out front of the resort was really good when we were there. We were told by the owner that throughout the year the visibility and water will change, so although we had perfect water, it won't necessarily be like that in a few months. Some of the fish are a bit aggressive so careful of that. One bit me hard enough that it broke the skin surface and I was bleeding.
The beach chairs were nice as well but get taken up pretty quickly. Beach towels were available at the bar.
The free breakfast was ok but the coffee was often only lukewarm. Tons of flies flying around the bar area so best to try and get a table nearby to eat at. We had lunch a couple times from the resort and it was pretty good. They brought it right to our table on the beach.
Main busy area isn't too far of a walk down the beach. Out of the 7 islands we visited in Thailand, Lipe was the most unfriendly we found as well as the most expensive.

Stayed by a family with a child in a Balinese villa overlooking the sea. The view of the sea is conditional - you can see of course, but everything overlaps the bar and restaurant. We moved in right away, early. The villa is large , there is a bed and an extra bed , place for clothes - dressers and closet, bathroom is large in the open air , there is a place for drying clothes. The hotel offers coffee water in the bar all day - very convenient. Breakfast is good, on the menu. The area is well-kept green , there are many sunbeds on the beach, but they are still scarce as the hotel is always crowded. A lot of Russians in the hotel, none of the others in the lime have met so many compatriots. If you go right on the beach to the cliff, cross the hinged bridge, it's a small beach quiet.
This hotel has no swimming pool , unlike this hotel on sunrise beach (Mali sunrise)

My stay at Mali Resort Pattaya was amazing. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. The ocean and beach were 20 steps from my front porch. Its a great time to visit Koh Lipe as the island is quite in this time of COVID. This means the usually bustling walking street is empty and the beaches are mostly to yourself. The island still has enough restaurants and activities to keep you happy. You may have to walk a bit farther than normal to get yoh the restaurant of your choice, but who can complain when it's on in a beautiful sand beach.

Regarding your second question. You should confirm arrival date via email just to be on the safe side. A porter and buggy driver will meet you at the boat dock upon arrival. Their porter will carry your luggage to the dock upon your departure. Please tip generously if they carry the entire way through the beach. Mali Resort porters are very amiable and hardworking. You should also consider staying at Serendipity if you're in Koh Lipe. It's more breathtaking. Granted both beaches have their own unique quality. See my pictures.
For your first question, I have no idea. You'll have to contact Mali Resort.
Have fun!
I am not too sure regarding departure from Langkawi. However, you will arrive at a big floating platform and you need to buy the small boat ticket to get yourself to the pier (10-15 minutes) -they will pick you up from the pier.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our garden wing rooms which have smaller enclosed bathrooms, do not offer a divide between the shower and toilet. Should you wish for distance between shower and toilet kindly book a Balinese style room. These have outdoor bathrooms and a large distance between shower and toilet
