We visited Lipe to celebrate our anniversary in Nov’19 and booked this hotel in advance through Agoda. Little did we know that we have booked a gem in the paradise.
The hotel is located at the center of the island with the Sunset beach and Sunrise beach on either side.
When we reached Lipe (Pattaya beach) after a cumbersome journey from Bangkok we were greeted by a guy with a green tuktuk(living upto the hotel name😛) waiting with a banner with the hotel name.
The checkin at the hotel was smooth and quick. The receptionist was very cordial and polite with us. She provided us with a map of the island.
The hotel doesn’t entertain its’ visitors to be walking with shoes from the entrance till the room. We totally appreciate this! The floors were anyway spic n’ span.
We booked a Garden View room on the first floor. Such an airy spacious room with enough sunlight pouring in the room. The balcony doors are sliding glass doors and overlooks the entrance of the hotel with tall palm trees on either side. We loved the room. The washroom was basic with a shower panel but again absolutely neat and clean. There are provisions of separate pool towels if you want to get into the pool on the mezzanine floor.
Housekeeping service was provided daily.
We didn’t opt for their breakfast buffet as we preferred to explore the island.
Any question you have just ask the receptionist who is more than polite and warm to help you. Though language is a barrier at times she was extremely patient and polite to help us.
On our anniversary I wanted to surprise my husband so requested the receptionists Sarah & Fon to decorate the room. Not only did they cater to my request but they also surprised us with a complimentary bottle of white wine!!! We were totally on cloud nine by this gesture. How thoughtful and warm of them! Sarah & Fon you girls totally rock!!! Thank You So Much!!😊 This hotel is totally recommended if you plan to visit the lovely Lipe 😊

I Booked a pool access room for 3 nights and a pool view room for 1 night, then upgraded pool view to pool access for 500 baht as I wanted to stay in the same room. Travelled solo. Room was clean and Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet, no rowdy pool parties. I did not book breakfast with room. Staff were all very friendly, thank you Zara and Fon on reception. Free transfer to/from boat. Bit of a problem with leaky water in bathroom but when I raised this, reception did their best to address problem. Position of Hotel is good. Great to have the lovely clean pool. Most afternoons I was the only one in the pool. Right in the middle of island so easy walk to everywhere. One and only problem was the proximity to the island waste disposal and the afternoon smell. It is not nice and you need to be inside with the doors closed when it happens. Luckily it only lasts for about an hour.

The hotel has an excellent location with quick access to every available beach on the island. Inside, the hotel provides all the amenities you might need for a comfortable stay: a cooling pool, an excellent breakfast with several options, also free both ways transfer from/to the port. Our room was always clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was very smooth, and the girls at the desk are very hardworking with smiles on their faces; they were happy to assist with everything. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The lady of the reception so-called manager is extremely arrogant and execrable! Everything is good to charge you anything and everything! Cleaning done in 5 min... swimming pool small .. in the room lacks towel rails so the towels always stay wet! regarding the toilet ... prohibition to put toilet paper in because fine of 2000 baht or case where it is clogged!!! Anything I repeat! . Room overlooking the street is extremely noisy! By having small children she didn’t want to know anything and didn’t want to change our room even by offering her an extra she didn’t care royal! Namely all the rooms on the ground floor pool side are rooms with 2 single beds.
I don't understand the positive reviews about this Inn! The only point + near the walking street in 5 min walk! I do not recommend this Inn! Run away! Especially with a staff who never say hello!

I’m three months traveling this was one of the most difficult choices to book; Either the hotels on Ko lipe’ had bad reviews, were expensive or all of the above. I chose here as the least of all evils and during my stay I only found one other hotel that would give it a run for its money; no, I’m going to tell you. So anyway this was a long walk from the boat drop off; the unfriendly, unhelpful Tuk Tuk drivers swore they never heard of the Green Hotel; so I dragged my luggage the approximate 1 mile uphill in the heat till I found it. I upgraded before arrival to a 2nd floor facing the pool; smart choice, less street noise, no overhead noise. It was very quiet the first 2 days. As for the dump smell next door, couldn’t smell in room at all; I only used my balcony for drying clothes but still no smell there; Out front of the hotel when the wind was blowing from the dump it was overpowering stench; so I wasn’t in that area often. The hotel serves no food although there website indicates they do; there are great places to eat within a ten minute walk. Walking the narrow road is unpleasant and dangerous as it’s thick with sand, trash and speeding motorcycles, many of them wide three wheelers. Be very alert. The room was very large; bath ok but no shelves in shower for soap & shampoo; poor design. Also the door opened into the toilet; worse design; and the front door got stuck on a warped flooring. What was a great innovation was a charge station mounted into the headboard along with dual light dimmers; thank you for that. Everything else was good including a/c, hot water, refrigerator etc. Day three an entire Chinese tour group arrived and my stay was ruined. Constant screaming for the next two days. I told management if I wasn’t scheduled to leave the island I would sacrifice my prepayment and move to another hotel; it was that bad. It really frustrates me that Thai hotel management doesn’t politely ask guests to be considerate to other guests and refrain from yelling. The obnoxious behavior aside it was a good stay if you don’t mind walking a little. I walked to three beaches with an average time of 20 minutes. The hotel is almost perfectly in the center of the island. I would stay here again if my new first choice I have my eye in was sold out. I brought housekeeping and front desk fresh bakery goods to say thank you on multiple mornings. They work hard. Please thank them. Recommend.

Don't really want to make things worse after the previous review (which was pretty harsh and unfair I thought), but even though this place ticks many boxes, there is a big problem with it. The staff are great, really friendly and helpful, the room has everything you need and is of a reasonable size, pool is great, the prices pretty good, the location is good, pretty much in the centre of the island so 5 mins to whichever beach you choose to go to and some chilled out bars and local shops right on the doorstep. Just across the road is the Noi resort where you can get a good breakfast. So all of that is great, but the problem is the smell - the resort is just down the road from the rubbish tip and in the tropical heat, things can get quite fruity. However, there is nothing that can be done about it and you do get used to it after a while, but just bear that in mind when booking. But apart from that, I would still recommend the Green Hotel.

I stayed at The Green Hotel for 5 nights. I think it is a nice hotel but because I stayed in low season and after Covid I don’t think I got the “full experience”. There was only one staff member (who was very kind and helpful!) and most of the hotel was dark and seemed a bit closed.
I feel like I was the only guest staying there and maybe I was. That is not their fault however :)

The room was big and pretty clean exept for some bugs on the wall. The bathroom was clean but it only had one tiny and very “cold” light. It made the bathroom seem dark and creepy.

The terasse was nice and had a cute view of palmtrees.

Good location, close to sunrise beach and the walking street.

The best part was the staff member. Always smiling and helpful. She went to my room to help me with my safety deposit box and also put water bortles outside my door.

An average stay that probably could be better in High season.

A new modern property centrally located. 10mins to most beaches and around the corner from walking street. Clean room, great WIFI and hot water too. I didn’t use the pool as the beaches are too good but it’s nice to have. Would definitely come back because of the location. All staff I met at reception and the man who took me to the boat were so nice and friendly.

Hotel located away from Walking Street so quieter except one night when we had music until 2am but it did not come from the Reggea Bar right opposite the hotel. The staff is pleasant. They kept our suitcases for 5 days for a getaway to Koh Mook. Breakfast can be had right across the street for 150 bath. The long but not very wide swimming pool is still pleasant. We had it all to ourselves for hours and hours during our 2 stays 5 nights plus 2 nights. To recommend.

this hotel is a real illusion, only front hotel is highlighted but for the rest, the hotel is located on a Garbage and rubbish dumps !!!
this is a hudge deception, this is an outrage. the rooms are nice and everything is fine BUT the PUBLIC Rubish is right behind the rooms! I'll never come back, the smell is nauseous, far from the beach and away from everything.
the Rubish dumps behind my room, im sorry but that was to much and that's why i'm writing this review ...
