Just had the most perfect stay with Charlie and the team at the cliff. The rooms are stunning with direct views over the coral gardens which you can access straight from the private beach for amazing snorkelling where we saw stingrays, puffer fish and a plethora of other colourful fish . What really makes this hotel though is Charlie and his amazing team who have looked after us like family for our stay . Can’t thank them enough and can’t wait to come back .

A beautiful hotel set at one of the highest points on the islands which makes for beautiful views from the rooms and bar areas. Set aside from the main 'parts' of the island which leaves you getting 'taxis' back to the hotel when the weather leaves it too hot to walk. The beach is a great spot, with the welcome addition of the free use of equipment but not a patch on other beaches on the island which meant I spent very little time there. One mention would be the wildlife here- a huge dragon lizard lept out in front of me a handful of times, and one morning upto 15 monkeys on the balcony- which for sure was a sight to remember if not a little intimidating 🥹 Breakfast was 'fine', but with other great breakfast places in the town I skipped most mornings. Slightly tired rooms, but the unique styling (2 floors, and a beautiful sofa/full width mirror and jacuzzi bath) and/or the private pool justifying the price. All the communal areas beautifully managed. With a bit of a spruce up it could demand a lot higher prices! If you are looking for an 'easy' stay, I would say stay closer to the bigger beaches, but if you want a retreat from the busier areas this is perfect! Thank you for a lovely stay.

This is our first time here in Koh Lipe and a trip for our Anniversary. The hotel located at Sunset Beach and offer a private beach with free water activities for the guests. The staff are warm welcome, friendly and very accommodating. The food at Seasons Restaurant is good! Normally I’m a bit skeptical with hotel food. For the breakfast they have selection menu made to order to choose. Knowing we’re a muslim couple, the staff (sorry I can’t remember the name) will check and advise which menu we could eat. Thank you for being very thoughtful, we really appreciate it. Room is neat and clean. First night we booked deluxe garden and they decor the room with anniversary decor to surprise my husband. He love it! Next day, we upgraded ourself to pool villa and the view is stunning!! Such an unforgettable experience. We could see a blue crystal clear water straight from our balcony and the view so pleasing. The hotel provided a daily shuttle at 8.00 pm from the hotel to walking street. To move around in the island area, you’ll need a taxi/tuktuk which cost 50 baht/person. Overall we really recommended this hotel and definitely will come back!

We came for dinner , as we were staying at a different hotel. We were not hungry enough to eat at 630 - and chose to eat at 8. However we knew that would mean missing sunset. Our waiter was kind and on arrival shared a photo of the sunset to our phones. This was very kind. Food was ok. We chose a chicken noodle dish and a prawn fried rice. Priced ok. We thought menu was a bit littered to be Joe st. Definitely needed more appetisers. I think this is a good place for sunset dinner , and for people wanting a change from the Thai food elsewhere- eg there were a couple of steak and pork options , and a few pasta dishes too.

The whole stay was fantastic. Staff are warm, friendly and happy to help. The villas are amazing and there is a private beach for hotel guests. Cleanliness is immaculate and the food choices were delicious. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting Koh Lipe!

Wonderful place. Been here a night. It was a tie up between staying here and sunrise beach and so glad we came here. It is a beautiful and peaceful location, the room we stayed in is fantastic with a lovely view even on a cloudy day. Great snorkeling right in front of hotel and the breakfast is great. Looking forward to being back here in a couple of nights after a trip to one of the neighbouring islands. Highly recommended.

If we have to pick a place to name paradise on earth, surely it would be the Cliff. Rooms with spectacular view of the sea, with a lot of privacy, excellent for couples. We stayed in the room with a jacuzzi and it was incredible. It is located in a remote part of the island, but the Resort provides a transport service to downtown. Also, if you like to walk, the resort is 10 to 15 min away walk through the beach. The service provided was the best that we had in Thailand. It has its own private beach and it has free snorkeling and kayaking gear to use whenever we want. The Restaurant in the hotel serves very delicious food, the quantity and the quality of the food goes according to the price. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Both, the front desk and housekeeping team did an incredible job in order to give us the best experience. And we have to name the resort Manager, Charlie, who was always there to help us and advise us about what to do on the island.

My stay at The Cliff Lipe as a solo female traveler was exceptional. I stayed for four nights in both the bungalow with garden view and the ocean view villa. Both were extremely clean, well appointed and with very comfortable beds. They appear to have wonderful accommodations for every budget. The food, both Thai and American, is delicious! The included breakfast was a nice bonus. You can be as active or chill as you like during your stay. The hotel offers kayaking and snorkeling. The beach and views are breathtaking. Most impressive about my stay was the staff. I have traveled internationally extensively and have never felt so welcomed and accommodated. Charlie, the manager, with warm efficiency , ensures that you have a memorable stay. He has an attention to detail that you rarely see I came frustrated due to lost luggage and he and the staff immediately took care of it. The restaurant, office, housekeeping, and beach staff were attentive and kind. My only regret is not staying longer!

Thoroughly enjoyed my 4D3N stay here at The Cliff Lipe under the hospitality of Charlie who was very helpful and warm throughout our stay! We stayed in Jacuzzi villa for 2 nights before moving to the pool villa for the last night and both were great. For Jacuzzi villa, you can request the staff to assist with filling the jacuzzi for a nice bubble bath. Easy access to the beach from resort. We could set off for our day snorkelling trip directly from the resort beach. There is also kayaks and snorkelling equipment for us to use for free. Better to go in the morning when there is high tide. Restaurant food also taste better than the one we had at walking street at pretty similar prices but with better ambience overlooking the sea. Fish n chips and crispy roti were our favourite. Overall a very pleasant stay and we will be back with more friends next time!
