We stayed here for 1 night and used it as a spa day/night after 3 busy days in London. We booked a Kingsuite ( Room 328) The room had that wow factor when you walk in. Huge. Large separate sitting area with TV. Bed was enormous and the comfiest during our 10 night England Tour. Also had a huge bath in the room which was nice. Breakfast good with a choice of buffet hot food and continental Spa / pool facilities were excellent. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna with plenty chairs about to relax by the pool Only minor criticism is the decor in the hotel is a little dated and 80’s looking. Could do with an update That aside I would definitely return to this hotel without hesitation. It was perfect for a relaxing break.
Hotel in general is probably getting a little tired . That said all the amenities were adequate . The overall service was good and the trip was good value for money . Good venue for one or two night break but not a weeks stay
We have recently stayed in this fabulous hotel for 5 days .The staff were excellent food and swimming pool beautiful and clean Chrissy and all the staff went the extra mile to make our stay amazing best hotel ever.
Love this hotel for work. Rooms are a bit tired. But staff are so lovely. Food is awesome in the Lincoln bar, from breakfast to a chicken burger on a night Lovely terrace to sit out and look over the fields. Rooms could do with an update but the rest of the hotel more than makes up for it
We were moved here due to our previous hotel/golf course having covid outbreak and having to close. On arrival it seemed nice, we had to play golf first before we could book in, golf course and pro shop staff were excellent, even the young lads that came out on the refreshment buggy, we asked them to come and meet us on several holes and they did, excellent service. Golf course was very busy. We were left with a menu to order our food for evening meal and a time we were to be seated. We were not given long once finished golf to book in and shower and change for dinner, luckily booking was very smooth and showered and changed in plenty of time for our 8pm dinner slot, in the end that didn’t really matter ( and this is the only thing that let the hotel down and stopped me from giving 5 stars) because the service was awful, maybe awful’s a strong word but at the time we were not happy as it took over 2 hours to complete the service of our meal, which left us about an hour at the bar before it was closed, well we could order further drinks but all at once as the tills were being closed down. As I say my main issue was the service, dinner it took too long between courses especially as we’ve pre ordered and very little interaction from service staff, they just served no coming back checking if ‘everything is ok’ ‘could we get you anything else’ it just seemed very cold from the staff. Breakfast was very much the same until our last morning, firstly we were shown to our seats, but it then took nearly ten mins to take our order, they kept seating other people then taking their order first, there was no organisation, they should’ve had one staff member seating people a couple taking orders then a couple serving. I had the full breakfast which wasn’t great, you got 2 partly cooked fatty bacon 1 tomato, small spoon of beans and mushrooms, half fried bread 1 fried egg, I did think this was very poor and people being charged £13.50 for it was wrong, I did go to the toilet and notice how many people had left stuff on their breakfast. Now to the last morning of breakfast when, how can I say it, the more mature ladies were serving (I can’t remember their names, sorry) they were excellent the organisation between them was brilliant, and the breakfast they served is exactly what you expect from this hotel, I asked for full English as I did every morning but without beans and mushrooms and unlike previous mornings I was asked if I wanted another sausage or bacon instead. All in all a great stay at a great hotel and golf course the only let down was the service by staff in the dining areas.…
