I chose to stay at Balam Bali Villa for my first time in Bali as my partner & I prefer a more natural setting. Upon arrival at Denpasar, our pre-arranged villa driver, Borju, was there to pick us up. He is a very nice guy and as we discovered over the next few days, highly punctual too. The villa helped...

Spent four nights at this beautiful, tucked away villa in Mengwi, about 20 min drive away from downtown Ubud -- our experience from start to finish was blissful. The medium sized villa was tastefully decorated and the greenery within the villa compliments the natural beauty that surrounds it -- fields of well-plowed rice paddies. My husband and I arrived at...

I promised Hubert a tripadvisor review before i left, and here it finally is. First of all, we love the location, even though it is somewhat far from the city. Our taxi from the Denpasar airport got lost numerous times, and we only reached the villa several hours later, at night. The way around this is to book the airport...

Hubert and his staff are obviously a very happy and dedicated team whom manage to spread their positive feelings to guests even for a short stay as ours in August this year. Over and above very pleasant services that you can expect from a privately owned BnB, Hubert's unique relationship to the villagers at the Kampung next door allows respectful...

My husband and I stayed in the Siam room for four nights. The room is spotlessly clean, very spacious and adequately airconditioned. The main attraction of Balam Bali though has to be the owners and staff. Adi and Herbert were the perfect hosts - never intruding but always helpful and very entertaining. Highly recommend that you eat at least one...

First time in Bali for me and my 11 year old daughter arriving 15. august 2010. Found Balam Bali on Tripadvisor and booked the first 4 nights through the internet - looked for the autenthic Bali and booked the Agung room in the old Pirate house. Unfortunately the room was only free for 3 nights - but I was at...

We normally don't write this kind of reviews, but this place is really perfect if you want to taste the real Bali. Not much can be added to the reviews below. It's all true. Next year we will come back here!

I usually visit a location, enjoy it, and move on, not opting to return since there's so much else to see out there. But I would definitely come back to the Balam Bali. Nestled amongst the rice paddies, this place lives up to all the glowing reviews from fellow TripAdvisor contributors. I never saw a menu, but breakfasts were made...

When my wife and I pulled up to the Villa we were, to put it mildly, surprised that it was literally in the countryside. It was an unnerving thought at first for us city folk to be staying in a place like this but after meeting the staff and getting acclimated to the beautiful surroundings, we warmed up to it...

The best place we ever stayed at! Beautiful spacious room (siam) with very large bathroom. Perfectly cleaned every day. Very friendly staff and owner. At your service at all times, without being to much in your face. In the middle of the rice paddies. Transport (almost anywhere) is arranged by the staff, for a very fair price. Breakfast at the...
