Stayed for 2 nights, bit of a disaster the first night as shower was awful. The mattresses were rock hard, elec socket not working, nor was the fan in the bathroom. However the staff moved us and the second room was much better. There is such a lot of history here, the hotel itself and the stable blocks. Absolutely great....

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as a weekend getaway booked at short notice. After reading some of the reviews on here I was apprehensive about the hotel. What a pleasant surprise! The room was beautiful, and clean. It's a 17th century building full of character and history. The staff gave us a friendly welcome and were...

I have stayed here 3-4 times, in the 'haunted' rooms. My stay has been superb each time. The rooms are always kept tidy, clean bedding each day. Loads of historical and period furnishings. I have loved the warm welcome I receive, how the staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good each time. I would recommend this place...

The building is very charming and has tons of period features. It has its flaws certainly but that is probably due to the restrictions of an old building. The room was clean, basic whilst the bathroom was modern and in good order. The food was excellent and in generous portions Parking was ample and the grounds clean and tidy. There...

The building, inside and out are beautiful. The room was actually much better than expected (room 9). Clean and tidy. The mattress is in desperate need of replacing. Don't expect to get a good nights sleep. The curtains and toilet seat also need replacing. But in all the room was ok. My boyfriend had champagne put in the room, it...

If you want a warm welcome, then I'd suggest you look elsewhere. No sooner had we arrived at The Scole Inn, we were greeted with the disapproving stares from the patrons and staff alike (the 'local' mentality seems to run strong) We check into our rooms and the receptionist was indeed helpful and asked if we needed anything then just...

Myself and my husband stated here Monday night and to be honest was not looking forward to it as the bad reviews but what a surprise, it's fantastic. The staff are lovely the food is beautiful and the place it's self was out of this world. We stayed in room 5 which had a four poster bed and was spotless...
