I stopped here as part of an included meal on an Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) multi day packaged tour of Costa Rica. I did not do the horse back riding so I can't comment on that. What I did find that yes, mainly this is a tourist restaurant; however, in no way would I call it a "tourist trap". The...

We went riding as a family and it was amazing! Our guide, Carlos, was nice, and good with all of the horses, and amazing with kids. Of all the stuff we've done in Costa Rica so far, this was one of the best! Carlos took us on an unforgettable ride through the jungle. We rode for an hour on a deserted...

Although the owners of this ranch/hotel/restaurant were very nice, the place is awful. The porch is large, open and comfortable. But the rooms - NOT. We had our choice of the six rooms, I would have chose to leave, but my friends wanted to stay. The room we selected they did not have a key for, so we had to...

Our family had the great fortune of booking a horseback ride and lunch with Alexander and his lovely family. There were 6 of us, ages 67-4, and the horses were just right. Alexander led a small pony with my 4 year old on it and she had a blast. We loved chatting with him up the hills and overlooking the...

This was my very favorite hotel on our trip to Costa Rica. Everything was first class. The bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. Our room had a shower and also a wonderful oversized bath tub. The one wall was glass that overlooked the mountains and the view was spectacular. We were able to sit on rockers and watch the...

Carlos and his family were brilliant with my wife and autistic teenage son, they rode for a couple of hours over the Costa Rica hills and enjoyed the wild splendours of the region. A laid back place that does what it's says .......horse riding at its most natural!

Most public riding establishments have old nags riding nose to tail. Alesandro operates a horse rescue. His family runs the restaurant. His sons are horse trainers and farriers and his daughter was our guide on a great ride through the area surrounding lake Arenal. We own horses at home and I guess she could tell we could ride as she...
