We love to stay in B&Bs when we travel and really enjoyed this one. Close enough to Arenal to enjoy the attractions there, but far enough to escape and relax. Excellent breakfast (loved the corn beef hash)! Especially enjoyed the bird watching, mushrooms at night, and serenades from the frogs in the pond.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. I love the comment about "mushrooms at night." We are the only place around that has Corned Beef Hash at our restaurant, and it is made from scratch, not "store bought." Please come see us again the next time you come to Costa Rica. Pura Vida

We loved our stay here. We spent only two days but wanted to stay more! The owners are very kind and friendly. We booked by accident a single small room instead of the larger one with a king bed, they were very kind to let us change it. The breakfast is very good and fulfilling. The small room, which we...

Thanks so much for the nice review. The Flower Room, the one with two twin beds, is very popular with people traveling who do not ordinarily sleep in the same bed. We have many guests who just want a place to sleep, have a good breakfast, and then go out and enjoy the country. For those who do sleep together,...

We started our trip at lucky Bug and a great time. Amazing property with lots of wildlife roaming about. The breakfast served was delicious and the hosts were very accommodating and gave us great tips on our travel plans. Would highly recommend.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We love all the animals and birds that frequent our property. It is very entertaining for our guests when they are eating their breakfast overlooking our private lake. In the past few months we have had cormorants, Anhingas, Guans, and Tiger Herons, not to mention our usual daily guests like the Aricaris,...

We ended up at Lucky Bug as a last minute arrival. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left 5 nights later, we were comfortable, entertained, well cared for and well fed. The accommodations were lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were phenomenal! Served plates full of local fresh fruit and a different main each morning was a wonderful...

We loved the unique rooms, the views on the private lake, friendliness and hospitality of the owners and the peace and tranquility. We would definitely recommend others to stay ! Great stop between la Fortuna and the coast after a busy day around the volcano!

Hola, Thanks so much for your nice review. We have had guests in the past who have actually left La Fortuna to get away from the noise because they could not get a good night's sleep. They slept great in our rooms. And it is not that far from the volcano for activities during the day, but you are able...

My friend and I were lucky enough to stumble upon this place. We originally drove up here with windsurfing in mind, and wanted to stay on the lake. We saw the beautiful mosaic archway on the opposite side of the street from the lake and thought we would give it a try. Upon entering into the property, we realized they...

This B & B has five rooms, each artistically decorated by the owner, Monica. We stayed in "the butterfly room". Very colorful, spacious, second floor room, in building set back from the main road. We were lulled to sleep by the exotic birds and tree frogs. Breakfast is ample. They had a private lake, between the dining area (on the...

Thanks for your nice review. We are working on our internet. It can be a challenge in Costa Rica. Hopefully we will have a solution soon. We love going to sleep with the birds and frogs making their noises. It is soothing. We hope you come back and see us again on your next trip. Pura Vida,

Recommended. Private small lake, rooms are far away from the noise of any road, only the sounds of the jungle. Good restaurant, good people, good art shop. Stayed one night and ate several meals over three weeks. Excellent coffee, excellent breakfast, excellent people. Monica and her family have created a lovely place.

Thanks so much for your excellent review. There have been people who have been used to the noise of the city, so when it is quiet and you hear frogs and the other jungle noises, they get nervous. Most love it. We love, and that is why we are here. Next time please stay longer with us. We can direct...

We stayed at the lucky bug last night. We wish we could have stayed longer but our travel plans would not allow it. This place is beautiful. The grounds are tremendous and the rooms are very comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of various fruits and breads. We hope to be back.

We always suggest that people stay at least two nights, not only with us, but other places in Costa Rica. As you know, from living here a while back, it takes a while to get around, but the drive is beautiful. Also, you can enjoy what we have to offer here as well, such as a kayak or canoe on...

That is quite a review to say we were your favorite place in Costa Rica. There are many nice places, and to be placed at the top is really an honor. Thank you so much.
