Once I got to the hotel I knew it was a right choice. I walked by the other options: El Secreto and Casa Mexicana but they were both closed so I had no way to compare. Nevertheless I was happy with this one... expect in the end. The rooms, restaurant and the hotel overall are very nice. What I didn't...

I went to Posada las Minas with my family and it is very very nice place. They take care of every detail. Meals are awesome, the thematic rooms are great. The only thing that I did not like is that under 18 children are not allowed in club (pool, spa, etc, etc).

The hotel is an ancient Mexican-colonial house in an old village with a splendorous silver mining history. The site is well communicated (30 min from the highway), and is a good location to explore the Sierra Gorda, the Guanajuato highlands and the central-plateau semi-deserts. Also the remains of ancient mining are of huge interest.

We enjoyed everything about the Posada - the ambiance, the gardens, the service and of course their wonderful Spa and pool. It is difficult to imagine how it could be improved! Muchas gracias por todo.

4 wonderful nights in the beautiful place. The food, the staff and the room was a wonderful experience. We love this wonderful little town, and to have this sanctuary to return to made the trip memorable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with wonderful food. The room was great and I had some of the best nights of sleep...

We enjoyed Posada de las Minas. It captures the magic of this part of Mexico. Rooms are excellent, beautifully furnished and quiet. The gardens are a delight. Service in the restaurant is top notch. The problem was: We had brought a special bottle of wine from home to share with our son for the last day of our trip, and...

My husband had cream of pecan soup "Sopa Crema De Nuez" that was so unbelievably good. I had salmon w orange that was fantastic. They gave us free chips and salsa....

Wonderful hotel and restaurant in this pleasant little town. Fun for a few days or halfway stop for driving from Laredo and the border. We stop here headed north or south on our way to our Veracruz home or our Missouri home. Very nice rooms with fireplaces and VERY PET FRIENDLY.

Honestly, the first time we had lunch at the Posada de las Minas was largely by default: it was open, it was time to comida, and we were hungry. It turned out to be an outstanding choice. The second time was a planned visit, but not until after we’d bought dolls made by the local women, wandered the town, and...

An amazing little hotel in a wonderful little town. Rooms are spotless, beautiful, and comfortable. Be sure to have a salmon burger or a club sandwich, both are great! Right in the middle of nowhere but close to several historical towns, the stay at Posada las Minas is worth the drive to Pozos, although Pozos itself is truly an unforgettable...
