A five star feel, our stay was so wonderful, overlooking the crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffalo and rhino's coming to drink water by the river and roaming around from the comfort of your own room. The view is so relaxing, the nature surrounds are so wonderful. The lodge is beautiful inside too equipped with self catering equipment, its a home away...

Classy accomodation set in a bushveld feel with a selection of bird hides and other vantage points along the Crocodile River into the Kruger Park. Restaurant overlooking the river with good breakfast selection and helpful staff. Birdlife aplenty in a tranquil peaceful and relaxing setting. Bring family and friends for fishing, bike riding and lovely walks or a true escape...

Ngwenya lodge is situated opposite the Kruger National Park on the Crocodile River. Great location to explore the KNP from, only 10 mins drive to the Crocodile Bridge entrance. The units are well maintained and the staff very courteous.

We are long time owners of two weeks at Ngwenya where our units are both river front. The service quality is exceptional, starting with the welcome at reception when you check in, supported by friendly gardeners helping with your luggage, and extending through the daily chalet service . The units are well appointed, microwaves dishwashers and fridges and comfortable beds...

We stayed at Ngwenya the past week as past of our Kruger Holiday. The Lodge units are very average with small hard beds and the hardest towels I have ever seen. They have great viewing decks as a plus point. They could look into their units finishings and cleanliness an maybe a second pillow per bed or in the unit....

My only regret is not finding this place sooner! We arrived en masse: 5 adults and 9 children (aged 7 to 13) for a week and all managed to find our own happy place. We had a fantastic river facing unit and enjoyed watching the many animals cooling off in the Crocodile River below: enormous crocodiles, fat lazy hippos, skinny...

Home away from home. Caters for the whole family. Enough activities to keep children busy while adults enjoy the nature and animals visiting the river. Excellent Sunday lunches, wonderful Tiffany's Salon. Had a great session with them!!

What a pleasure to visit Ngwenya. Alway clean and neat. The restaurant is absolutely magnificant. The views from the hides are spectacular, although the drought is taking its toll. The reception and staff are always friendly and helpfull. The chalets are of the best available.

We have been coming to Ngwenya every year for the past 10 years. It is the only place to recharge your internal batteries for the year ahead and to really relax. The facilities are very good and are well maintained and every year there are improvements to the resort. The resort caters for all ages and even our children have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ngwenya Lodge is situated on the southern tip of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This means that visitors don’t even have to leave the resort to see a huge variety of game species – including the famous Big Five. The river view chalets overlook a scenic floodplain, which allows for magnificent views of the area where the big cats often hunt. Our Dam and Bush view chalets are set back on the property and also have beautiful views, as they overlook tranquil dams or bush areas. Game viewing hides make game viewing on the riverfront accessible to all – so no one misses out on spotting any of their favorite wild animals. Holiday in the luxury you’re used to… The units have fully equipped kitchens with a stove, fridge, freezer and a microwave. Each unit has a television and an undercover veranda with patio table, chairs and a braai, for unforgettable get-togethers with family and friends. Ngwenya’s on-site facilities include a pub, a beauty salon with a wide range of treatments, a curio shop, a small convenience shop, 6 outdoor swimming pools, 18 hole Mini Golf course, 2 tennis courts, trampolines, jungle gyms, a games room with pool tables, table tennis, Playstations with Xbox Kinnect, a kiddies room with various board games, puzzles, and kids movies. We can’t wait for you to visit us. ... more   less
