I loved staying here! The room was spacious and beautiful with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The en-suite was very cute. Anne and Grant were the perfect hosts-kind, caring, friendly and just generally lovely people. I was made to feel at home. The meals were great including a huge breakfast! I hope to see you both again with my mum next... More

We spent two nights at Coastal Lodge when we first arrived in South Island. The accommodation was excellent. A very comfy bed and a great spa bath. The location was perfect, sea views and a beautiful drive up in to the wine region. Breakfast was wonderful and our hosts, Greg and Ann couldn't have been more welcoming. Definitely recommend.

When flying light sport aircraft we landed in a farmers paddock late in the afternoon and needed accommodation overnight. Grant and Anne were absolutely amazing, the accommodation was incredible, a lovely quiet place to rest up to allow the wind to drop. I would recommend this lodge to anyone who needed to spend some quiet time away. The food was... More

This is where we stayed in Kekerengu for 2 nights after having to do a landing in a farmers paddock on the coast in our light sport aircraft because of very high winds. What an amazing place. The hosts Grant and Anne were amazing. They showed us around the area as well as helped us back and forward to our... More

Coastal lodge is a lovely spot tucked in across from the Restaurant in Kekereungu. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along the beach taking in the scenery. The hosts Grant and Anne were warm hosts and helpful with my inquiries. I relaxed and liked the lavender outside my room. I look forward to returning to Coastal Lodge and staying longer.

An oasis on SI's main road south. Grant and Anne were fantastic friendly hosts. Food straight from their garden, including olives and a variety of citrus fruits - it may be on the wild Kaikoura coast but it's got a climate all it's own! This was not a planned stay for me but I'll definitely be going back.

Coastal Lodge is a great stay! The ocean view is not only beautiful, but very relaxing! You can see it from both their deck and from the inside of their beautiful home. The view also includes The Store, a well-known restaurant and its picturesque landscaping right across the street. The landscaping in Anne and Grant’s yard is awesome, too—nice yard... More

We arrived to a very warm welcome and were delighted with our spacious room and ensuite. We wanted to have dinner at the reknowned resturant located across the road called "The Store" which our hosts kindly booked for us, while we took a drive to Blenheim. After Dinner we enjoyed a couple of choice wines and excellent conversation with our... More
