Just returned (5 nights), Very tranquil setting, 45 mins from PV.
Staff was great! Guillermo at the front desk, extremely helpful. Shuttle guys, excellent and always friendly. The bar staff, Carlos, went above and beyond everytime. Pool bar staff were always attentive. Cleaning staff were in and out and never even knew they dropped by. Beach staff was wonderful and never let you go thirsty.
Property was very empty. Check-in we were told less than 50 people on site. Picked up to probably 60-70 a couple days later.
You will hear the occasional (but minimal trucks and equipment) preparing the new towers and future water attraction area.
If you're looking to stay close to the action this resort is not for you.
Couple hiccups during our stay. 1. Some of the alcohol ran out 2. The food at the main restaurant is hit or miss, mostly miss. Breakfast was good but we opted to eat elsewhere off property for 3 of the evenings because it just wasn’t good 3. Medical staff who performed our covid tests said they would be ready in 5 minutes, we went to bed with no results unsure when we we’re getting them. Luckily we didn’t have morning flight because some results came in at 745am, one had to be hand delivered approx. 2 hours later. Not the fault of the property but definitely an issue from the contracted medical staff.
Overall I would stay here again, it would be nice if all of their dining options were open and there was some form of entertainment in the evening (there was none).

Just came back from the BEST vacation of my life. We had an incredible time at this new resort. Our party had 3 rooms, on the top floor of one of the towers. We all had epic views of the jungle and the bay. Extremely comfortable beds. The resort staff were phenomenal and were always willing to assist us. The resort is quite large and you will need to take the shuttle to get around. We never had to wait more than 4 minutes for a ride. The food was great, and the alcohol is top shelf. The welcome Delta drink at arrival starts your vacation off!
Another unique feature of this resort is the Delta Pantry, it was located in our building and we were very impressed with the quality of food available 24/7. Talking about food, you won't go hungry, the breakfast and dinner buffets had quality food. Our favourite meal at the pool bar was the steak fajitas.
We were also excited to know we had access to a beach club. We took advantage of it 3 times during our week stay and we had a lot of fun. With a quick 10-minute shuttle from the property, you also get unlimited food and drink while visiting the beach club.
Being from Canada, we did require a PCR test. The hotel arranged this for us at a cost of $175 USD each, and we had clinic staff come to the property and administer it in a private area. We had the results 26 hours later.
We look forward to visiting this paradise next year. HIGHLY recommend it!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate the new year and as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. We have stayed at other beachside resorts in the area before but we were intrigued by the tropical jungle setting of this all inclusive resort. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful and lush landscape. As platinum elite members, we requested a room that had both a resort and ocean view in the 4000 building which was given to us. The woman who checked us in was not very welcoming and sounded more like a drill sergeant reviewing the rules. We requested in advance that our room be feather free and she didn’t seem assuring that housekeeping removed all feather pillows/bedding.
We were taken to our room by golf cart and given an overview of the beautiful resort by our pleasant driver, Jorge. Our sizeable room had rustic vibes with modern touches. Our shower was very spacious and modern. The view from our balcony was stunning. The only issue we had was that my husband found feather pillows on the bed to which I’m extremely allergic. The lady who checked us in sent housekeeping to remove and replace the pillows.
We liked the food and drinks at the buffet, main pool bar and the beach club, especially the Mexican fare. We enjoyed swimming in the various pools and hot tubs. The ocean current at the beach was strong during our visit but we managed to dip our legs in the warmish water. We rented a beach cabana each day during our visit. Our server,Joel, was very friendly and outgoing.
The New Year’s Eve buffet was delicious, especially the roast whole pig and turkey. We also enjoyed the New Year’s Eve dance party in the garden area.
Areas needing improvement: 1) The food items in the buffet were not adequately replenished and the labels were often missing so we didn’t know what type of food was in the trays. It could be a dangerous guessing game for those with food allergies. 2) The one cook at the buffet was often overwhelmed by the line of people who gathered to place their orders. A better queuing system needs to be established and another cook should be assigned to help cook the orders. 3) The waitstaff often forgot our drink requests and we had to remind them a few times.
Overall, we enjoyed the resort setting and the amenities, including the food. We will return here and recommend it to others.

The service and rooms are the best part of this hotel. Jade and Guillermo at the front desk were wonderful, responsive, and check in was smooth. We were placed in one of the rooms at the very top of the resort with a great view (minus some ongoing construction). The rooms were large and supremely clean. The mini bar and shampoo/conditioner/soap were refreshed daily.
The resort itself is quite small compared to other all inclusive resorts. The beach is a 10-minute shuttle away and the shuttle comes about 3x/d. The beach club was quite nice and service is great here. Otherwise, there is one main pool at the resort with about 10-15 chairs with umbrellas. The restaurant/bar by the pool is the only place to eat lunch, and the menu is quite small so if you are staying for a long period of time this gets old quickly. The food itself is OK. The service was great at this location, with Juan being particularly friendly and attentive.
For dinner, there is a buffet and a Japanese restaurant, which requires reservation. We made a reservation at the Japanese restaurant, albeit hesitantly because I have an anaphylactic peanut allergy. We were reassured by multiple staff including front desk and staff at the restaurant itself that there was no peanuts. When we sat down, there was a bowl of peanut sauce in front of us, and I had hives immediately. We left before the meal was served. Needless to say, if you have an anaphylactic allergy I would not come to this resort as it appears this is not taken seriously.
With regards to construction, there were two mornings we were woken up around 8am with drilling. During the day, the construction was ongoing, although not overly disruptive. The lazy river and water park are apparently set to be done in Nov 2022.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful location amongst mountains. Amazing views and scenery, quiet and peaceful. This is in a remote location, so don’t expect to walk out to see shops and businesses. This resort is not an oceanfront property, there are a shuttle 3 times a day to transport to the nearest beach club. As to Marriott members with gold/platinum loyalty, I was told all rooms are the same so won't be an upgrade.
There is no transportation offered by the resort, finding transport is a challenge at the airport due to the very high number of tourists embarking at the airport, there are long queue lines and wait for taxis.
It is a great place to work remotely, chill, do yoga, family get together, read books and meditate. Excellent place to get “my time” unless there happens to be a destination wedding during your stay then all bets are off during lunch/dinner times. This is not a party place, nor would you find nightclubs, business and bars outside other than what is available within the resort.
There are no hiking/running trails to venture out. There are very limited tour operators who operate here and there is only 2 tour operator who operates with very limited tours out of this location.
This is an all-inclusive resort, Breakfast is a buffet, lunch is the same set menu every day with no changes of the items. Only one restaurant is open on a dinner night with a set menu and sometimes a buffet. The vegetarian options are extremely limited, expect to lunch vegetarian fajitas, tacos, and salad every day. This location is certainly not for a foodie or would appeal to a food connoisseur’s heart. There is NO room service, so be prepared to show up at the restaurant.
Resort employees are very nice, friendly, and welcoming. The resort is beautiful, looks like they are in the process of adding (construction) more amenities.

I am writing this after a three night stay at the Delta Marriot in Nayarit. We chose this hotel because we love and trust the Marriott brand. We had great hopes for an amazing all inclusive experience. I will tell you that the staff was excellent and the rooms were nice however the walls were so thin you could hear the person in the room next-door snoring and when they spoke to each other it was as if they were in the same room. A number one complaint was the food. Not only was the selection very small the food quality was at a much lower level for an all inclusive. We have traveled to many different all inclusive resorts including the RIU, the Hyatt, Holiday Inn and Barcelo. This was hands-down the worst food out of all of these hotel groups. I would also like to point out that aside from the Hyatt this was also the most expensive all inclusive we have stayed at. The fact that we spent $400 a night for a basic hillside view room gave us the impression that we would be getting delicious food and drinks which we did not! With nothing to do at the hotel there was no concierge or guest services to help find other places to eat and activities to go do. We understand that this is a new hotel however these basic things need to be addressed immediately! The hotel next-door Matlali is also half the price of the Delta with more amenities. Also the beach club shuttle runs once every hour to the beach club but when we tried to return we waited an hour and a half for a shuttle to pick us up. There are good tacos at the beach club so definitely plan on eating lunch there! We checked out and came to the grand Palladium for the same price and we are getting a beachfront resort with tons of food options and amenities! I would suggest the Delta if what you’re looking for is some solitude, a romantic getaway or if you’re in the area for business. However aside from breakfast and the one night we got tacos on the Buffett don’t expect to have any memorable meals.

From the moment we drove up the resort we were charmed by the decor and ambiance. Cecilia greeted us, checked us in quickly and promptly got us our welcome drinks. Cecilia was great and very attentive throughout our whole stay and the welcome drinks were amazing. We were then taken to our room via golf cart which is the method of getting around at this resort for the most part. You can also walk the resort, which I do recommend. Hearing all of the nature around you is incredible. Ulysses took us to our room and gave us a great tour of the property. He was always very pleasant and very attentive. This resort also has a sister Marriott beach club that is included in the all inclusive package and it is a must to go, but get there early when they open to get first shot on the palapas and beach chairs. Drinks are a must and by far the best bartender was Silverio. He even smoked a whole pineapple for us because my husband loves spicy margaritas and mezcal and he made some amazing drinks. Silverio was the only bartender for the beach club and although he was killing it, there should be another bartender to help him. The whole staff at the Delta Marriott Riviera Nayarit were nothing but amazing and very attentive. A few employees that we would like to recognize are Cecilia, Ulysses, Silverio, Daniel, Fernando, Cristobal, Marcos, Julio, and Veronica. Veronica always made sure our room was impeccable, made sure our fridge was stocked with water and other refreshments, and even left us a tissue paper rose. Overall we highly recommend this resort and will be visiting again. Managerial staff is doing a great job at running this resort, so please keep it up the integrity because it’s wonderful. Our only small oversights that we have is that while our stay there was a huge rain storm which caused one of the restaurants filtration system to fail and was closed for the duration of our stay so we never got to enjoy the hibachi. Don’t hesitate, just book and have a great time!

The pros: LGBTQ friendly Gorgeous mountain side property Delicious food Great service
The cons: Far from ocean Most alcohol was considered top shelf with additional charges (bring your own champagne) Boutique sized property Construction noise
We took our three teens here. We wanted a safe space for our trans son, and to our delight discovered other families who had picked this resort for the same reasons. We requested separate rooms in different buildings, so that we could have time apart as a couple and our kids could have some independence. The kids made friends with other teens at the resort and they had a great time exploring and checking out the beach club.
Staff were attentive and spoke excellent english. Pedro, our chauffeur and bellboy was our favourite, his friendly demeanour and his willingness to go the extra mile stand out. Alejandro at the lobby bar makes the best drinks.
Yes there’s construction, but it wasn’t as bad as other people have said. The new water park looks like a great addition for people visiting with young children, which might change the quiet relaxed resort vibe... I would recommend it for a shorter 3 or 4 day stay.

Many of the staff members were great. Many of the staff could not care less. The property is very spread out and uses golf carts to help people get around. Unfortunately the drivers park them out of the way and watch their phones for hours. When I arrived I waited twenty minutes for a ride to the room. The Forrest around the property is amazing. Unfortunately many of those trees have fallen or broke and are dangerously hanging over paths. There is really only one choice for food each meal and most were good but not always. The Delta Pantry was completely empty for the 7 days I was there although it remained on the website. "When you need a quick snack or a light meal in Riviera Nayarit, visit the Delta Pantry. We stock a wide range of food and drinks to help you satisfy your cravings 24 hours a day."
My room door was not self closing and on more than one occasion I left it open unintentionally. If Marriott knew how unsafe this property is they would not accept it.
Leaf blowers started at 750 every morning. It was fine with me I'm an early riser but I thought it was a bit inconsiderate. I walked by the giftshop daily and it was not open once. There were other things but that's enough.

As many say when they find a new place, you almost don't want to write a review so that you can keep this place to yourself. But this place is amazing and deserves praise. Everyone on staff is doing their best. The place is so clean, the views of the jungle are incredible and it's very peaceful. This isn't your cliché all inclusive experience in many way. It's more laid back. I only worry that at full capacity, or an expansion of rooms, if the resort can maintain a good ratio of workers to guests and places to hang out. The food was good, including the buffet. The a la carte nights were surprisingly good, with in innovative menu. We had a small medical emergency and the staff at Delta made us feel safe and handled everything properly. Great place.
