My trip was for business but my stay was wonderful. The rooms are modern, well equipped and exceptionally clean and comfortable (and air conditioned!!). Dinner at the pub is a must - was great to hear stories from the locals and read the history on the walls. Meals are huge and well prepared with a good selection/variety. Staff were excellent...

A great place to overnight in the outback town of Birdsville. A spaceous room and a comfortable bed. All very well organized and a nice pub for the evening. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly.

The Birdsville Hotel is really a must visit - its an outback Australian icon. For a town that is a very long drive from pretty much anywhere, the quality of service and food is fantastic. Other reviews complaining about the prices seem to ignore the incredibly difficult journey that they themselves had in getting there - obviously it costs quite...

Just made it into birdsville due to heavy rain, pulled into the pub for a beer and a bite for tea. 5 of us got the bangers and mash. Cheapest thing on the menu at 24$, nothing wrong with the food just steep

To celebrate our trip we all decided that a few drinks and a feed at the Birdsville Pub was in order. This far out your expectations are not high. In fact the food we all received was good and there was certainly plenty of it. The staff were helpful and it was a pleasant night out.

Having crossed the Simpson Desert we were looking for a night away from the tent and the Birdsville Hotel provided just that. Rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Tea and coffee facilities were availble and a fridge. Off street parking ensured that our vehicles were safe for the night.A laundry was available if needed. Meals were avaiable at the iconic...

The iconic Birdsville hotel. We spent every night here during the Birdsville races weekend. Lots of singing dancing and drinking and more drinking. Ticketed system for drinks during races worked well but very expensive. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Typical motel room but at $170 very expensive, but when you are the only one in town the sky is the limit. Comfortable and clean. Laundry needs more clothes lines and better dryers. Food in the restaurant is average and expensive. However when in Birdsville it's all about the experience!!

Have seen more interesting pubs through Australia . Windy weather conditions gave insight to life at Birdsville. Just a money spinner town. Accomodation looked good, didnt eat or stay long. Was disappointed actually but always wanted to go there, so now i have.

We stayed two nights on our APT tour in a motel unit behind the hotel and found the unit to be comfortable and clean with a good shower. The hotel has a lot of atmosphere with two bars, a large restaurant and an even larger outdoor area serviced by the restaurant. On cooler nights you can sit around an open...
