Spent a week in Birdsville recently and visited the pub on numerous occasions. Had a couple of meals and they were excellent pub fare. Considering the crowds the service was was excellent. Prices were fair. Did not stay in the rooms.

Did not actually stay at the pub but visited frequently. The Staff and owners were fantastic, considering the number of people in town they did a fantastic job. Good food good drinks, great character. Great place to stay or visit.

We took the kids along with us for dinner at the Birdsville Hotel during the recent Birdsville Big Red Bash, and were so impressed by the spread put on and how professional the staff were. The food was delicious and the serving sizes were more than enough. It has a great atmosphere for families out in the outdoor beer garden...

During the first few days of July, the Birdsville Hotel is a veritable oasis surrounded by a mass of seven thousand music fans in the middle of Australia’s Simpson. There is literally not a better bar for at least another thousand kilometers. It was a long and difficult trip for John: Impossible at night, highly dangerous at dusk and dawn,...

This is a special place and I had the privelege of having a libation on premises. Lots great memoriabillia in the bar including a reminder that we are in Australia not America and wearing baseball caps backward incurs a compulsory $2 donation to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Beer feels like liquid nitrogen but tastes like the elixir of youth....

After booking a room 5 weeks ago giving them my credit card details they somehow manage to double book the room, and only that room. I drove 850 klms to find no bed, their best effort was to book me into the caravan park where those people couldn't do enough for me. A complementary meal no, drinks no

Nice clean room with all the necessary emenities and despite a big function our room was quiet. Reasonabe price for a family room in the remote location. Laundry to clean up all the muck good hot showers and a great feed at the pub.

One of the Aussie outback gotta go to places. It's a long way to go for a beer... and you can have a 7 course meal there... consisting of a six pack and a meat pie for $31. We had drinks with local stockmen, the hotel licensee who came to the other side of the bar to drink with customers...

The Birdsville Hotel is a place everyone should have on their bucket list - the iconic outback pub. Our motel room was typical of motel rooms, with queen and single beds, television, telephone, tea/coffee making facilities (as well as a toaster), a heater/air conditioner and usual bathroom. The room was very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and...

The Birdsville Hotel is comfortable and the meals are delicious and surprising when you consider where you are in outback Queensland and close to the South Australian Border. The staff go out of their way to make you welcome and to ensure you have everything you need during your stay.
