Whilst a lot of the eateries in the Hunter Valley are in peaceful spots this one is right up there. It's away from the road & on a dam where you can feed the fish. The ambience is relaxed & peaceful & the food is good. The menu is not extensive, which is good, as what they do is interesting...

Food wasn't worth the price & Sharon Burke the licensee was so rude! Don't risk eating here to be treated with terrible customer service - find somewhere better - apparently moving this chair which is the middle of the entrance and obstruction the walkway is a BIG NO NO when there are no other chairs available other than one of...

Food is always consistent and reliable.I regularly go for lunch with a golfing mate. It is always enjoyable with great service and good wine. I took a group of visitors from Melbourne and everyone enjoyed their meal.A very pleasant verandah setting next to a large dam provides a great ambience for lunch. One of the better Hunter establishments

One of the best restaurants in the Hunter! The fresh prawns are divine. Recommend going for lunch do that you can enjoy the lovely lake view! You can feed the fish leftover prawn bits from your table as well.

Service was ordinary, food average. Not quite ready to write this venue off as it comes with great recommendations will try again sometime and ensure that we make a booking. We sat inside near the counter so missed out on the view of the lake. Will definitely plan ahead in the future.

We stayed 2 nights, accomodation was superb, the boathouses are so relaxing and the setting is expansive and immediately relieves the stress of city living. Thank you for all the thoughtful touches of hospitality. Grateful.

Would recommend this place it was beautiful. We had the romantic package for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was worth it. Staff were lovely. The couples spa retreat is worth every cent. The pool was lovely. The breakfast was great.

We were recommended this restaurant for lunch, and are we glad we did not miss it. The location on a lake is stunning. We even fed the fish with bread provided. The entire of scallops was devine, simply beautiful, as were the fresh oysters. For mains 3 of us had a blue-cod grilled with prawn and a bisque...to die for....

My Partner and I stayed here for two nights over valentines weekend. It was perfect! Beautiful Balinese style furnishings in the boathouses, very private and homelike but still with an essence of luxury. The owner Sharon was very accommodating with all of our needs and happy to help us with all of our questions.

Idyllic setting, excellent menu, great service, and very very nice food. Not the cheapest place to eat but definitely delivers and well worth the price. Come to the Hunter, take a ride in a Tiger Moth, have lunch at Leaves & Fishes. If you get a sunny day, spend the afternoon touring Dione vineyards ... Heavenly😎

Thank Muddy W
