Went here for a couple of days. Pretty good location and views over the Bays. The bedroom and lounge area was a bit small for 4 adults. No air conditioning... Internet was an extra $5 charge. Pretty warm in January... humid and hot inside the room. We ate at the stonegrill at the motel... food was pleasant and meat was...

Hi Folks thanks for your review. We do agree that the standard 1 bedroom units are a bit small for 4 adults but we guess you booked it knowing what it was or that was all that was available. WiFi is FREE for first 500Mbs then there is a charge. Glad you enjoyed the food in the restaurant and sorry...

It should be a nice stay with beautiful sea view and beach stretching along the coast. The room was nice, clean, and comfy beds, with proper kitchenette stuff, the location just 100m from the beach. everything was good and OK, nothing wrong. However, one of our bit worried experience when we found NO spare of toilet paper in the room...

Hi Guys and thank you for your review. We are glad that you were in general happy with the accommodation but deeply embarrassed about the sticky situation you were in running out of toilet paper. It is normal for there to be two spare rolls in the bathroom cupboard. There is no excuse for this being overlooked and we apologize...

Would recommend staying in one of the seafront studios as they are newer and have nice views over the bay. We unit was right next to the reception/entrance to the restaurant and this meant that we had to keep our blinds shut for any privacy. It also meant we couldn't open our window/door and with no air-con meant the room...

Comfy accommodation with pretty views over the beach. Bed was comfortable in a separate bedroom but we were woken early with a helicopter taking off outside our bedroom at 6:30am. The people needing the helicopter are there for quite a long time changing bee hives in the area. The kitchen had plenty of utensils for cooking but we chose to...

Booked a room with a view. Lovely room and expansive views, appears to be a newer unit than some of the others.Good facilities and a coffee plunger which is hard too find in many motels. Owner of motel very helpful with local information. Restaurant food was good. Can't fault the place.

The value proposition is the views. Great views of the bay and easy access. Note - the hotel has been around for a while, thus you will feel some of the things have gotten a little 'tired', but everything is well kept and clean.

I booked in overnight on a business trip. The welcome was warm, the proprietor is very knowledgeable about the area, was friendly and gave me information I needed about meals, special on the menu for the evening. I went to my room which was on the end of the row and was immediately drawn to the view over the bay...

What a fun stay I had at Ahipara Bay Motel. Made all the better by the cheerful and welcoming hosts in the fantastic restaurant there. Our group had a fun night watching the All Blacks and enjoying a super "Stone Grill" dinner. Would always recommend and will be back to this gem on the Ninety Mile beach.

The location is beautiful, but we felt it was overpriced for what it offered. The spa bath has mould growing around it and could do with a good clean. The patio for the unit has no privacy from those on either side and noisy neighbours can be annoying late at night. Internet access should be part of the cost, as...
