Detailed Reviews
This hotel has many advantages to feel comfortable, where it has a high level of cleanliness, excellent sleep quality, wide room, professional staff, very nice open buffet breakfast including a noted variety of fresh fruits, good price, and the possibility to leave the luggages with the reception in check-in and out days. Regarding the location, it can be considered far from the downtown and the popular attractions in a quiet business district, but it is well connected by the local transportations (buses and metros). Finally, only one note is that the elevators need some sort of renovation.

We stayed here during our Germany-Italy trip in Oct 2018. This was our last stop since flying out of Linate. This is a good option if flying out of Linate airport. On our arrival, we were met with a swarm of mosquitos. We found out that San Donato has a mosquito problem but people have adjusted to this issue.
The stay overall was good. We had a connected room for 4 of us. Breakfast was good as well. You can take train to Duomo and Galleria with at a 10-15 mins walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept 2022 while attending the Monza Gran Prix. An average hotel. Definitely wouldn't class it as 4 star though as there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms which was very disappointing. Beds are not really comfortable but did the job. Maids came in daily to make beds and change towels. Breakfast was ok, no full english available but to be expected I suppose. Probably wouldn't stay here again but as it was part of a package deal I didn't have a choice.

The hotel is quite nice, has a comfortable position, but not very clean especially considering the price that is not so cheap. I was really surprised by the behavior of the receptionist when I asked about a parking place for the car that answered me in a very unpleasant way without any reason. Please be more attentive how you treat your clients cause after such a treatment there is not a lot of desire to come back to you once again

+1
Clean and comfortable spaces. Traditional decor, although old as construction they maintain it by making sure it is clean and neat. Their breakfast could be a little improved as there was a lack of cheeses, and it doesn't renew itself in options as the days go by.

The hotel presents itself with 4 stars. It has probably not been maintained/renovated in the last 30 years. The bed had shaky legs. The shower was the smallest I have ever seen, guessing 60x60cm. The room was depressing with a long brownish desk under the windows and no other interior. On the positive side: all staff was very friendly

Still overprised and in need of upgrade. Great breakfast and friendly staff but the rooms are overdue for improvements to bed, bathroom, working space, curtains. Wi-Fi is poor or not connecting at all. Simply not up to standard for a 4-star hotel.

We stayed for the weekend at the Santa Barbara. It is a good sized hotel just of the Tangenziale Est (Ring Road) to the south east of Milan. The city centre is approx 7 miles away on a straight road in. It is also in an ideal spot for Linate airport only a couple of miles away.
The hotel was very clean, and the staff helpful and spoke English. The rooms were are good size and towels/ cosmetics were changed daily. Cable TV, Minibar, En Suite, Safe all in the room.
Only a continental breakfast was being served whilst we were there, but there are a couple of good restaurants about 200m down the road.
Parking was adequate.
Dont come to this hotel without your own transport as it is not close to Milan if you're having to get a bus!

This hotel is excellent, at least when it comes to its main function, that is providing sleeping accomodations. It surely isn't a design hotel, but furniture and fittings are new, pleasant and doing the job properly.
We were two adults and one 6 years old kid, so we had two beds+one added bed. Even with the pub right under the window, there was no noise to talk about. The rooms are spacious and clean, personnel are extremely nice and friendly, both upon reception and in servicing requests. For example, as my son complained that the car's seatbelt was too low and I asked for a spare pillow to place on the back seat for raising him up, I got it in a few seconds and with a smile.
Breakfast is ok, ranging the traditional italian (continental) food to bacon and eggs. The bathroom was spacious, with a Jacuzzi bathtub and everything in working order, with daily change of toiletry and impeccable cleaning.
The hotel is very easy to reach, provided you drive a car: just outside the "tangenziale est" with good indications (follow for "S. Donato/via Emilia", look for a white sign at the crossing) and a big sign on the roof which helps a lot if Milano's fog strikes (like it did when we were there).
This is not a city-center hotel - being just outside Milano's boundaries on the south-east, count from 10 to 20mins on average by car to reach the town's core - depending on the traffic conditions and whether the destination is on the same side of the town or not. The location is very effective if you're travelling from Bergamo airport, which is about half an hour away in no-traffic conditions, or Linate airport, which is about 10 minutes (while being on the opposite side of the town from Malpensa airport).

As other reviews have noted, the staff is great. However, the air conditioning is terrible. Should have stayed somewhere else. Spent a sleepless night in this muggy room. Wish I had booked the Crowne plaza instead.
