Simple and cheap in a good location. A little away from the main beach front means you'll be able to relax in peace away from the crowds. Rooms are big, comfortable, clean but limited. No fridge, kettle and limited cupboard space. That said it was fine for us. Big garden to relax in and a small pool with a bar....

This place is definately for bohemian people! A nice , huge garden with a big pool, nice services and average rooms. A lot of expats use to book here, artists, bohemian doctors, old divers that come here starting 1993... Everything is very friendly , Alona beach is very close ( 50 m) . This place is really good for an...

I can't understand how they can charge so much for a room, but have sea salt water in the bathroom - both the sink and shower. It's very unpleasant when brushing your teeth and having a shower after being in the sea...felt unclean for days. Very quiet and can see why, it's right at the far end of Alona beach,...

We spent 3 nights in Kalipayan. My new iPhone was stolen on the first night.. The security guard was shooting shotgun (real bullets) to scarry me because I told the police that he could be the suspect... Owner behaved like he cared just to get rid of us. when we left under escort of 5 policemen because we requested so...

Kalipayan is about a 5 minute walk along the beach from the main busy area of Alona Beach. It does actually have access straight onto the beach from the resort. the room was very spacious and had a small aircon unit and a ceiling fan. The power did go off twice and the water was not on once. So make...

We had a nice 13 nights stay at Kalipayan. Quite and peaceful garden setting. Thanks Kurt, that you had 2 rooms for us on short notice. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Rooms were ok, with daily cleaning. Good quality towels provided. Soap provided. No complimentary water though. Beds are ok, one was too soft, the other was good. Bed...

We were here for 2 days, but decided to stay for one more night. You have big rooms, with your own private bathroom, with a shower curtain. The shower is not salt from the sea, but it is some kind of salty water. But since we knew, we bought an extra water bottle. Shower is pretty nice though. They cleaned...

I was severely disappointed with the place. Agoda had rated this establishment as 3 star when it should only be 1 star. 1. MAJOR POINT. The water for the showers is SEA water and not normal treated water. 2. The area is full of mosquitoes, especially after 4pm 3. Safety Box in room. Obviously that has been used by divers...

we have high expectations on the said resort but was disappointed when we arrived. The resort was stationed at the end of the strectch of whole resorts in Panglao beach. and was far from the beach front. The room doesn't even have a tv but in fairness the staff where all accomodating and we didn't have hard time cancelling our...

This charming resort is set in beautiful gardens with a pool leading on to.a white sand beach. The family room is very spacious but the en suite bathroom has no ventilation giving the room a persistent smell of drains, the effective air conditioning maybe also responsible as it is set into the bathroom wall. Put this small problem aside and...

“No smoking in rooms, but outside was a small table and chairs, also clothesline. Bring bug spray, as ants will go for food, drink glasses left outside or your ankles if sitting down outside of room. Small refrigerator inside, for drinks, bring water. Our bathroom water tasted salty, bring shampoo.”
