Detailed Reviews
Clearly with the Covid-19 situation refurbishment works to the rooms had been halted, what had been done was good quality and I look forward to a future visit to see it completed.
Arriving on a Friday afternoon and welcomed by Sarah & Cathy we instantly made to feel welcome despite Covid-19 restrictions. There protection measures were reassuring with staff wearing masks, plenty of sanitation stations and social distancing measures.
The evening meal was home cooked and excellent despite a limited menu, which I believe ensured the quality, comfortable night in currently their only room, others due for completion soon, and a sumptuous breakfast.
Cathy kept us entertained with her fascinating knowledge of local history.
We will definitely be back to see the completed renovations

This large pub is currently run by the family who own it but it is up for sale. They seem to only open in the evening after 6pm. Very friendly staff and very dog friendly. I visited on a Tuesday which was one of the two days they don’t serve food in the evenings (Monday & Tuesday) but it was no problem as the young lady in charge ordered a local Chinese takeaway to be delivered to the pub for me. Really enjoyable evening there with my dog and a few locals, great beer and would definitely return.

We were on a short break to do Waterfall Country. We stayed overnight in the car park in our camper. But we could not have been made more welcome. We had a couple of drinks in the pub. With lots of hand sanitiser, one way system etc - but this did not stop Sarah being the best landlady I have had the pleasure of meeting. Warm, friendly and a great source of information on where to go and what to do. We had breakfast in the pub in the morning, and it was fantastic and filled you up and I would gladly have paid double. When times allow it, please visit this fantastic pub and go to the places Sarah recommends! They are amazing!

A total change to the last time we tried it out. Sunday carvery was delicious. Quite a crowd there today. Staff friendly and pleasant. Prices very reasonable. The Copper Beech also do takeaways if anyone is interested in that side. Will return soon.

What a great place. Lovely home cooked food, staff worked hard all night and what a superb host Megan was, rushed off her feet but found time to speak to everyone that was in - and it was the night England beat Ukraine so it was certainly busy. Deffo would go again if in the area.

I stayed at the Copper Beech on a spare of the moment booking.
I was unexpected but made to feel, not only welcome, but like one of the family.
This treasure of a B and B is clean, tidy and extremely welcoming.
Nothing is too much trouble and everything delicious.
The room is more like an apartment with more space and facilities that you would only hope for in a hotel.
It is a dream to stay here and so friendly. I will definitely be back again.

Dropping in at the Copper Beech had been on our list for some time and during a week of hot weather we escaped from the office on a Friday afternoon and headed off for a light lunch and some relaxation. Despite arriving with ten minutes to spare before the kitchen closed we were welcomed by the chaming host ,and ordered sandwiches and coffee . A large plate of delicious freshly made sandwiches arrived, along with crisps , home made coleslaw, and a big pot of what I call real coffee.
The owner was delightful, and sat talking to us about her journey at the Copper Beech some of which was a tad personal so nothing I would repeat on an open forum ,but suffice to say this lady and her family deserve all the success in the world with their business. They offer a range of food from Sunday lunches to cream teas, all home cooked with obvious care, and attention to detail, which also includes two letting rooms, with well behaved dogs welcome !
It's a rustic establishment with a warm, homely feel, so anyone looking for contemporary lines will be disappointed. We will certainly be returning based on our experience ,we left there feeling relaxed, and well fed !! A little gem, with a welcome in the hillside .
