We stayed at the hotel with friends for three nights and can only echo previous comments. We had a wonderful time. The staff is superb - very professional and friendly. The food in the Burlington restaurant can only be described as amazing. The combination of flavours is incredible and also a veritable feast for the eyes. There are lovely walks...

We stayed for one night at the hotel - it completely exceeded my expectations. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout and did everything they could to make our stay perfect - I was particularly impressed when the restaurant manager came over and suggested a "plainer" version of he fish main course for my son (they don't have a children's menu)...

We were guest of friends at the hotel in early April 2015, a beautiful sunny period with the Dales at their best. There are not enough superlatives to describe staying at the Devonshire Arms.It is one of the nicest, friendliest and most enjoyable places in the UK . The food is superb, we had rooms with lovely views across the...

We have stayed in this hotel a couple of times before, as it is a lovely country get-away not too far from home. Whilst the hotel, bedrooms, ambience and all that stuff, etc is perfectly acceptable, we were very impressed this time with the quality, inventiveness, artistry and flavours of Adam Smith's food. Our whole Easter break this year will...

We stayed here as the first night of our honeymoon before flying to Turkey and the stay was amazing. We were treated like royality and we could not fault a thing. The room was stunning and had no complaint with the service of the staff. The walk fromtedvonshire hire arms to the ruins of bolton abbey is lovely and about...

If your on the A59 driving past The Devonshire Arms, ready for a break, reasonably well dressed, and your wallet isn't empty, call in for a coffee, maybe a little more. Yes it's a fine place, there for the big occassion, but I broke my journey and found a grand but relaxing atmosphere in the hotel lounge, with a welcome...

We spent two nights at the Devonshire Arms recently and were so impressed. We look for places where we can take our German Pointer and feel welcome whilst enjoying a a spot of luxury. Firstly, the staff are superb, unobstrusive yet nothing was too much trouble. The hotel feels like a comfortable country house, think roaring fires, nooks and crannies,...
