Luxury hotel ! Altitude was nice but no “Luxury” touches . This was a getaway in our twilight years for a little spoiling . The reception on arrival , nice young lady , informative and pleasant . The hotel restaurant we knew was closed on a Tuesday night , we walked to the Bistro that was fine . Next morning requested a dinner booking at the Restaurant , fully booked from the male at reception .? Would have nice to be informed prior to getting to the hotel . Private function, great cash for the Hotel but not guests wanting to dine at the Restaurant on a wet and windy evening . The rooms adequate , nicely appointed bathrooms, dusty skirting boards . Right on the main road , we had to close and lock shutters to have quiet or the road noise was bad . Would have been great to sleep with shutters open . Luxury hotel : Luggage delivered to room, Chocolates and turn down service , Welcome drink on arrival , bottled water in room , free Nice ordinary Hotel in Montville

My wife organised a surprise getaway for my birthday. They called at 3pm to ask when we arriving. We arrived at 3.40, and nobody was there. We rang eleven times, left four messages, walked around the property twice and waited over an hour. With no reply and an increasingly stressed out couple, we were forced to book elsewhere (challenging, because Montville apparently closes everything at 4). My wife was distraught and it ruined what should have been a really nice break. We eventually heard back from Altitude, by text message, at 10.30pm. What a joke. We are still waiting for our refund and apology.

I have some cons to mention but mostly this place was good for a few nights. I reviewed (and have stayed at)many of the accommodation options in Montville before booking Altitude and thought because we would be out all day the simple room would not be a problem to rest in the evening. We hiked the five waterfall hikes that are in surrounding region all week. Our first room smelled a little off until we aired it out and the road noise is horrendous during the day time. We had no problems at night though as the traffic is much less. The wifi is slow and the TV is not a smart TV and buffers constantly on the complimentary Foxtel. We had a sleeping arrangement issue and the hotel moved us to another room with more bed options immediately upon request. I cannot fault them. They were very nice, extremely pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant food was great (complimentary room Service), the views are actually spectacular and all seems clean and tidy.

Wonderful two night stay, organised at last minute when our interstate plans were cancelled due to lockdown. Our Superior Spa Studio was on the top floor - some stairs but this was no problem. The spa with a superb view and beautiful fireplace were great. Breakfast tray and dinner at restaurant excellent. Our second time at this restaurant and the meals are consistently good. Some road noise during day and evening but this didn’t bother us at all as once you close the sliding door to balcony the noise is minimal. An easy walk to the Montville shops. Highly recommend.

Visited for a short weekend getaway in early June 2021 with my Mother. We had a two bedroom apartment with a magnificent view out to the ocean. The room was very clean and tidy, and we enjoyed having kitchen facilities to be able to prepare our own meals. There is a Woolworths in Maleny which is a short drive away for supplies. A short stroll from the hotel to the shops and village of Montville. One of the lights in our bathroom wasn't working, which we reported to reception. They came to change the bulb but realised they didn't have the correct one. A bottle of complimentary champagne was quickly delivered to our room to apologise - brilliant!! This was our second stay at this hotel, and we very much enjoyed it as much as the first time. We had stayed in the summer previously, this time in the winter - and we enjoyed putting the fire on, it did a terrific job of keeping the whole apartment warm. Very enjoyable stay and happy to recommend to others.
