My husband and I have just had 3 nights at Secrets and it was absolutely lovely. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional and the views are superb. If you would like a Tree house to unwind, relax, be romantic - enjoy the spa with a view, hike, go wineries, eat great food this is the place to go and undoubtedly you will return. Not suitable to take children, which for us to enjoy the quiet and the ambience was sublime!

Very nice outlook over the lake and all staff friendly, polite and efficient. Menu choices are not extensive but adequate, and offer enough variety. Prices are reasonable in the $30 range for mains. Could not fault the meals which were of good quality and delivered in a timely manner. This was our first outing to this venue but already planning a return visit.

My husband and I have just returned from two nights at Secrets on the Lake at Montville. Monday August 30th to September 1st 2021. We stayed in 'Lizard's Lair" one bedroom tree house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It is not just for honeymooners, we are both late sixties, early seventies. On arrival you are presented with a breakfast basket, containing juice, milk, yoghurt, fruit, in-house baked bread, jams and cereals. Each morning either hot muffins or croissants are delivered to your tree house. They don't knock on your door, just leave the home-baked and hot treats in a warm-bag on a shelf by your front door at 7.45 am each day of your stay. You are also given a $20 voucher to spend at the Cafe on the Deck. We opted for a Devonshire Tea for morning tea one day. Our tree-house was immaculate and every single item was in good working order. The view down to Baroon Pocket Dam was beautiful and the timber walkways through the rainforest were a joy to walk along. Secrets is a World-class Resort and attention to detail is exceptional. This place is truly fabulous and a perfect setting for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Don't change a thing Secret's Team, you have reached perfection!

I would like to share my experience in the restaurant at the secret on the lake. When we arrived I asked politely if we could have a table with a nice view as it was the first time in that place. The lady with a blond hair I think named Vanessa who was at the counter, replied in a very rude way not even letting me finish what I was saying. We ordered a bottle of wine and first of all they didn't even let us taste it, second thing they poured it filling all the glasses to the end. We asked about the dish and they told us to look at the menu! when we paid she (Vanessa again) asked us how the lunch was and we said that the food was good but the costumer service was not that much. Vanessa hasn't even apologized and I find her really unprofessional. I honestly don't recommend it if they treat customers like that! shame because the place and the kitchen are amazing!

I am very disappointed that you didn't enjoy your experience. It leaves me flabbergasted as the general comment we receive is how good our service is and what a great team. Vanessa was extremely busy on the day and in demand from all directions. Everyone wants to sit near the edge. The tables are allocated when they book. Later bookings are given the best of what is left. You seem to have expectations that fit with high level fine dining. We are a very busy daytime restaurant in high demand, so we try our best to serve our customers with good will and friendly service. Kind regards Aldy.

We stayed in the Platypus treehouse 29/08/21, absolutely outstanding from the time we were greeted at reception by very friendly team, nothing was too much bother. We had afternoon tea in the restaurant where the views were outstanding. The Tree house was well equipped and very well designed, beautiful views from the Balcony overlooking the lake. We were handed a basket of fruit, bread etc on arrival and we had the BBQ hamper delivered to the room, the food was sublime, we are now looking forward to our next visit, thankyou all so much
