One of the most beautiful hotels in Greece. Located on a hill overlooking the magnificent southeast Mediterranean Sea. It's only 5 km outside Monemvasia Castle, Southeast Peloponnesus . The hotel is a superb example of architectural transformation from local mansion to hotel. The service is impeccable. Everything stands to 5star hotel service. The breakfast is made from fresh local ingredients....

This is a beautifully designed space- both exterior and interior. The landscaping is of superior high quality and the surrounding pools add to the lovely setting. The staff was incredible. The young woman at the desk was very informative, and oh so helpful. She even helped us with finding the location of our next day's accommodations. The high quality and...

We visited kinsterna hotel for our wedding and it was incredible. All of the guests loved their rooms. Each one was unique and beautiful. We honestly didn't want to leave it was so nice. The fruit liqueur in the rooms (only ones with a kitchenette) was so good! The kinsterna suites were beautiful! All of the food was incredible and...

My wife and I spent a very relaxing and enjoyable week here. We stayed in a Byzantine Suite which was equipped with a comfortable bed, two easy chairs, a small dressing area, fully tiled bathroom with a very large shower space and a small terrace. It's a comfortable place to spend a week. Outside the hotel has two excellent swimming...

We booked a double bedroom in the old mansion hotel and in one word it was magnificent! The room was spacious enough, with excellent decoration and attention to detail. Bathroom with shower, Korres amenities and luxury elements everywhere. Detailed brochure and printed material about the history and "what to do" information where available with excellent proposals on outdoor activities and...

We spent three days at this beautiful, peaceful and charming hotel. The service is top rated! We stayed in the Kinsterna Suite that was so lovely, large and comfortable. All the staff is exceptional. We had two dinners in the restaurant that were wonderful. The daily breakfast is one of the best we have had in Greece. Fresh, local products...

A stunning renovation. The new buildings were done in a sympathetic style with the older buildings and surrounding countryside. So refreshing for a hotel to use its own produce. Their wine was sublime, honey wonderful and salads out of this world! The service was first class, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff who were all hired...

We loved this hotel from the first moment we entered. Easter in this hill resort with spacious romantic typical Laconian decoration rooms, excellent quality sleep, very quiet, very practical to move around, good staff, local dishes, local family products to buy (wine, olive oil, herbs). One of its kind this resort is a place to visit from September to June.

If you have car and want to visit Monemvasia, then you should stay at this hotel. People working there were really kind, and the place has amazing views. Breakfast is very good, although there are betters. We did not try the bikes or the horses, I am not sure I would use any of those to move around. The hotel...

To our extreme pleasure, we discovered Kinsterna the summer of 2011 and have been staying there every year ever since. We keep coming back because this property is beautiful, historically meaningful, the rooms luxurious, the management professional, the food wonderful, and is located in one of the prettiest areas of Greece. But more importantly, it is the extra little details...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The internationally acclaimed Kinsterna Hotel was recently awarded by TripAdvisor, the largest and most valid hotel review platform, with the prestigious "Certificate of Excellence 2014". The Kinsterna Hotel, which is a Byzantine-era rural mansion, was painstakingly restored with tremendous respect to its long history, with the intent to establish a comprehensive settlement encompassing the main building and surrounding houses. Moreover, all activities that took place in the past on the premises have been revived. Private label products, including wine, extra virgin olive oil, olives, bread, marmalade and a Greek spirit, called "tsipouro".Tucked away in the folds of the lush hillside, with privileged views of the Medieval Castle's Rock of Monemvasia (Peloponnese, Lakonia region) and the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, the restored Byzantine-era rural mansion offers 41 unique rooms, atmospheric suites and autonomous residences and blends magically into the surrounding vineyards, timeless olive groves, imposing eucalyptuses and the lofty cypresses, within an estate of 18 acres. The Kinsterna Hotel breathes a new dimension in the concept of luxury. The enchanting nights with a glass of wine from the local privately owned vineyards next to the Byzantine cistern, the incredible culinary creations from the Greek and the Mediterranean cuisine, with delectable local products and ingredients cultivated in the estate, in the Kinsterna Restaurant, the traditional hearty Greek breakfast, the impressive river-like pool with private relaxation areas amidst the fragrant orange trees, and the atmospheric Kinsterna Spa, with the signature treatments and the highly qualified therapists, highlight the unique experience of the mansion's guests and fully justifies why Kinsterna Hotel was included in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler's Hot List as one of the 65 best new hotels in the world! ... more   less
