It takes quite a drive to get here, but it is quite beautiful. The walled in compound is separated into several buildings, the main one with the reception, dining room, and pingpong / billiards room in several different buildings where the rooms are located. the rooms are dated and the beds are hard, the salt bath didnt look like much...

I have never stayed in a worse place than this!!!! Advertised as a Hot Spa hotel where you could enjoy a hot spa and relax on a wooden lounger afterwards. The spa which was off the bedroom was stained yellow which I would assume is because it has never been cleaned probably. The lounger had slats missing but worst of...

The rooms are big as are the bathrooms complete with the stained sure spa bath. It is in need of a soldier worker renovation but the position is nice and you can't complain about the security. The meal we had was the usual guess at what imperialists want to eat so was ok but not memorable.

We were told by our guides that we had the opportunity of staying in a luxury spa hotel, so of course, decided to give it a go. It was nice to be out of Pyongyang and in the country and I am sure that once upon a time it had been a very good hotel for North Korea. We had...

Great location in the middle of a forested area with radioactive medical water. The rooms offer a private bathtub where you can soak in radioactivity (no longer than 10 minutes!) and apparently fix your liver and joints damages. You can do your own clams barbecue outside and the food at the restaurant is good. There's a pingpong and a billiard...

This is an ok place. Never had any hot water. Rooms and big but somewhat run down from the glory days. Electricity failed. Only the next morning did we discover there were two circuits and the seond circuit worked when the general electricity failed. Service was mediocre.

We had one night here towards the end of the holiday and enjoyed it. All the hotels we stayed in on our trip were far better than we had been led to expect. The accommodation is in lodges each with 5 rooms, so our group were in two different lodges. The rooms were quite large with a balcony and a...

We would rather sleep in the gutter of a cesspool than in this place again and the North Koreans should be ashamed to allow foreigners to stay here. The room was totally disgusting with just one bare light bulb in the bedroom and another in the bathroom. There is no air conditioning but since this is on a hot spa...

Since the hotels you stay at in North Korea are not something you can choose yourself, expectation levels are also very low. You also have nothing to compare with and knowing the situation of the country's population you easily feel satisfied with anything. With that said, what I remember most from this "resort" is the lack of electricity and extremely...

I only stayed one there one night but I must say it was one of the nicest places I've stayed in North Korea outside Pyongyang. It's a holiday village so you get to share a private villa with your guides and the rest of group. Each person gets their private bedroom with their ownprivate bathroom, though. The decoration is a...
